Effectiveness Of Hypnosis

Warriors,

I've been working heavily on self development for the past year and I've made some huge improvements by consistently working on it daily.

In the past I've looked into hypnosis but I wanted to ask the more seasoned guys who've applied hypnosis to their lives in chime in. How effective have you found it to be in your lives? Do you typically purchase mp3s off the internet from hypnotists? Who would you recommend? And how many days do you consistently listen to the same mp3? Everyday or twice a day? Does it create a long term change in your lives?

Used to listen to the ones on youtube, I felt no effect long term. When I first started listening to them they started off working, but then when the excitement wears off it just died down. Listen to them so you can see if they work for you.

I don't believe hypnosis is anything more than meditating, which is nothing more than relaxed focus and deep breathing. By focusing on the "thing" that hypnotizes you zone out and yeah, that can certainly help for stress relief or just a nice rejuvenating day dream.

You'd probably do just as well to take 100 deep breaths, keeping count on each breath you take.

I got into self hypnosis a couple of years ago. I found that it helped when it came to changing certain habits. I've downloaded some free mp3s from the net but never bought any. I don't do it that frequently anymore, but I started by buying a book on it and making my own scripts. Overall, I've found meditation to be much more helpful.

First Of all congrats on the heavy dose of self development.

Two years ago I read an inspirational book and have not stopped the personal development since. ( daily )

As Zig Ziglar used to say it's a lot like bathing, "I recommend it daily."

In the last 2 years I have learned that everything that we do is in complete control of our subconscious mind.

Our conscious mind acts as a gate keeper and protects us from anything that it thinks might harm us ( based on your belief system )When you get a set of instructions to your sub conscious it will take over and allow you to make any change you wish.

How much easier can it get?

And believe it or not your belief system can go as far back as when you were 3 or 4 years old?

I have graduated to subliminal's and have found them to be remarkably cheap and effective.

I am an affiliate for a couple different developers but I am also new to Warrior and I do not think I can give you those links in here.

However I will tell you who they are and if you wish to IM me and ask for a more thorough review and what I am doing and using I would be happy to do that.

Real Subliminal is a good and reliable company.

Indigo Mind Labs Uses a technique that is quite different than most.

And if you want really good weekly coaching and and a visual experience along with sound, ( and very much worth the $19.99 he charges a month )
I recommend Lifetransformationz and Richard Luck.

All of these guarantee there product, and I would agree that they all work.

I am actually using custom subliminal's tailored to my personal goals.

It is a process that does not happen overnight you have to listen daily, but it is really easy. You can do it when you sleep, in the car, on a walk, anytime.

Again if you want to IM me I will give you a much more in depth report on what I have used and I will give you links ( affiliate of course ) but they are all to programs I am currently using or have used with success.

Either way good luck and remember.

  • It is refreshing to see someone post something positive about hypnosis.

I have always believed in to power of the mind and how it can be tapped with hypnosis.

I've found self hypnosis to be very helpful in changing habits but I have always made my own scripts rather than buy them.
But I do prefer to meditate and, when in a relaxed state, to focus upon the changes I want to make.

If and when I want to make a big change in my life I would use a combination of EFT and NLP, and I support these changes with focused meditation and maybe some self hypnosis as well.

But for anyone who is starting out in self development I believe that hypnosis will definitely help to prepare their mind for the desired changes to be made..

The effectiveness of hypnosis varies from person to person as some people are more destructible to hypnotic suggestion than others. It also varies on the goal, and just how dedicated the person is to achieving that goal.

Sometimes a person will try to use hypnosis to achieve a goal which is not their own.

For example I've talked to people who've tried hypnosis to quit smoking and it hasn't worked for them. There's always been a common thread in the failure though...

The failure is caused by having the goal thrust upon them. They've been harassed by a friends and family members telling them they need to give up smoking, but they themselves actually enjoy smoking.

Hypnosis just won't work in those situations. It can't make someone do what they don't want to do.

What I would recommend with hypnosis, as well as any other self development tool, is that you give it a fair try and see how it works for you.

My brother is a clinical hypnotherapist and has produced a selection of free sessions for Youtube for people wanting to try hypnosis for themselves. It works best when you listen to it once a day for about a month or so to fully absorb the hypnotic suggestions.
