How To Make 2014 Your Best Year Ever

by 37 comments
Everyone is gearing up for 2014 and most already have plans and goals written out that they want to achieve.

I thought of sharing some tips that can make 2014 far greater in terms of success, results and accomplishments than 2013.

1. Focus: Focus is everything, especially for those who are just starting out. This is not the time to own 50 niche sites that you are trying to rank all at once. Scattered energies produces scattered businesses.

Start with 1 or 2 and throw in all your energy on ranking those two and when you see encouraging results from them, you can then replicate in into other projects

2.Crazy work-ethic : This doesn't mean you have to work 24hrs a day non-stop but you have to put in the required work. You have to work more than you learn, you have to work. Every successful marketer you see here put in a considerable amount of time in their business.

One other thing to avoid is the "Ever learning syndrome". This happens to everyone at one time or the other.

We keep looking for "new"ways to drive traffic to our website, "new methods" of making money online,"new ways of doing this and that". This will only lead to information over-load that will keep you stuck at the same point.

Never buy a product except you really need it.e,g: In as much as I look forward to making money by selling amazon products it is not my present focus. So no matter how great a sales copy is on how to make money from amazon I wont purchase the product. I would rather put in the money into my current business and scale it higher

3.Relationship with others: I hope to do more of this in 2014 like-wise. Go out and meet like-minded people. Relationships are everything.

So these are my tips on making 2014 a great year. What about you?

Focus, work hard and developing relationshisp is a good place to start, but I'd like to add one more step for success: whatever your doing, strive for providing the very best service to your customers or readers.

BTW, I've always liked that quote, "the harder I work, the luckier I am." It seems to fit this idea.

    Great thread!
Personally, as one who sells physical products, I want to focus on 3 things in 2014

    1. Have EVERYTHING fulfilled by Amazon meaning I can work from anywhere with just a laptop

    2. Build more brands (private labeling is becoming the fastest growing part of my business)

    3. Hit clearance sales hard to get inventory in for the next holiday season. Sept-Dec are my biggest months. The more inventory I've acquired throughout the year, the better these months are. I intend to make these months the focus of the year. This will allow me to actually have a nice summer break

    Hi Kenneth,

All work for me Good tips!

Relationships are huge. We can do so much by ourselves but by meeting people and making friends we can enter into prospering partnerships.

Much of my success has depended on the kindness of others. People who have shown me the way, designed my blog, promoted me.

I feel deeply grateful to have built prospering relationships and look forward to doing so more each day.

    Thanks for sharing!

If you're waiting until New Year to start, you don't have the mindset needed yet.

I couldn't agree more...sometimes I am constantly just researching and learning instead of actually implementing new strategies...Time to put my knowledge into action and see what works

The most important thing is always to keep focus on your plans, but more important is that your plans and dreams should be realistic. Make proper plans and then put your full effort.

It's simple, work harder and/or smarter than last year.

    Sometime before New Year's Day 2014 ...

1.) Watch Earl Nightingale's 'The Strangest Secret':

2.) Watch Napoleon Hill's 'The Mastermind Principle':

Just do it! Make this next year your best!

Create a list of how really bad you want to make it online, with pros and cons included and will this drive you to achieve the results you really want!
Clear mindset is key to your success that is for sure!

Completely agree. As an add/on I would include follow-through with commitments!! Relationships can turn bad real fast if you don't do what you say you're going to do!

Love this thread! My greatest success this year has been two words "Be Fearless" and I have had to say that about once an hour on some days when all did not go smoothly! Plus, I have had the awesome benefit and blessing of a good Mentor or Coach that made all the difference for me. Masterminding with people ALREADY successful is HUGE and we can all cheer the person a bit ahead of us on the road to success and pull the hand of the one a little bit behind us. After all, at the end of this life, only what we have done for others will be left behind. Here's to a wonderful 2014 for all of us here on the WF! Here! Here! Kristie Chiles from Georgia

What would you write on your blog when you haven't even launched your product? I looked at 10 blogs and saw that most of them wrote about 'How they achieved and X metric' (non-relevant to the product), culture and other stuff when the whole idea is to gain more 'beta interests'! As a marketer, what will you do? In other words, what will be your content marketing strategy?

Hi Warriors,I have a problem running Facebook ads and I'm looking for some advice. I am a meme creator and I create funny captions with viral images to go viral. My problem is nobody engage in the comment. I've ran multiple ads on Friday and this morning and it's getting pretty good results per like, but so far no engagement. None. What's the method to get engagement? Anyway, I feel like getting engagement had to do with this one so called effect. I don't remember what it's specifically called but it goes something like this - If nobody comment on your ads/post, everyone is going to see this obviously and most likely they're probably not going to comment it. But if you already have tons of engagement on your ads/post, then it's like an effect that will trigger other people to comment on it as well. It's like an effect thing. People commented it just because other people comment it. Get what I'm saying?

120 years ago ..everyone was either self employed or a slave ..in the next few decade ..nearly everyone will have to run some type of business for themselves .. as jobs will get replaced by automation ..and advancements in tech and ai ..self driving cars for mas transportation may be dominant in 10-20 years ..so taxis uber lyft ride sharing.replaced ..if your a male and you get unemployed chances are somone will try to sell you on getting a cdl..but eventually drones and self driving truck will replace many of those jobs .. the winners in the new economy ..people who do not even need to become millionaires are the people who buy the robots that would replace them and learn to create a small business that supports the lifestyle they want ..
