Just One Act Of Christmas Kindness Can Change Everything

Most people work at broadening their social skills around the holidays with all the social interaction that goes on. But there is one holiday in particular that kindness shines like a lamp taken out from under a bushel. Christmas.

I can't think of a nicer way to express this sense of kindness and acceptance toward our fellow man by doing some small action that would otherwise never be considered, especially the few stressful days leading up to Christmas Day and New Years.

Such spontaneous expressions of kindness to our friends, relatives, even strangers has a way of changing lives, expectations and experienced outcomes. And these outcomes are often uplifting and life enhancing even if we never catch wind of what we might have set in motion by that simple caring act. May your holidays be blessed with such.

    Thank you for the sentiments.
The benefits that recipients of random acts of kindness receive can indeed make a major impact upon their outlook.

Of course, we can perform these small acts of kindness at any time during the year but I feel they are particularly appropriate during the Christmas holiday season.

And we have it within our power to affect our family, friends, neighbours and strangers in such a way.

May your holiday be blessed with kindness, optimism and happiness.

Yes. Like paying coffee forward, or taking the time to help someone.

I don't want to toot my own horn especially, but a nice thing happened to me.

I was driving home and I saw this elderly lady, and she was walking slowly with her head down, I thought she might be feeling ill.

I drove past, then turned round and parked in a street nearby and checked on her. She was fine, she told me, she took a walk every day despite the fact she lived in an old folks home nearby. She was quite touched that I checked on her, and thanked me.

For me the nice thing is, I see her quite often. And now I know, she is ok, and even though she is quite an old lady, she is determined to walk every day and get out in the fresh air. She is a bit of an inspiration to me. I hope when I am old, I am like that.

So, although it was me that took the time, it is also me that has the reward too.

    I recommend acts of kindness.

    Best wishes,

    Ruth
