Pros and Cons of dating a Young Entrepreneur

Hello Warriors,

I recently wrote an article on this subject and would love to share it with you guys.

No, This isn't an article to lure you into a love story. I admit, the title is a bit too catchy. I wrote this article to specify the qualities of a young entrepreneur and ideally that qualities which are present in them are good or bad which defines their life. Why would a girl likes a man? because he is independent, rich, etc stuff. well, you ain't wrong. This below reasons are written assuming that you may get into relationship with a young entrepreneur. Most of them wouldn't even know they have a girl friend. It basically determines the pros and cons of a young entrepreneurs.

Here are some reasons of why you should date a young entrepreneur rather than any other normal guy:

PROS:

Confident:
The best thing about a young entrepreneur is their confidence. They are always so passionate about their work because they love what they do and are always so sure about that thing even when no one else is. Thats what makes them so confident about their work.

Independent:
In this context, Independent means financially and morally. Young Entrepreneurs are people capable of earning money themselves. and they are not afraid of taking up responsibility of themselves and others. Most probably the responsibility of the whole company they found. Which makes them more susceptible to being independent.

Too Busy to Flirt with someone else:
Let's be real here, young entrepreneurs are always so focused on their work. They are hardworking, talented. They believe that time is like a tide. It waits for no one. So instead of wasting time in flirting with anyone. They rather do something productive. I know because I am one of them.

Focused on future:
This is obvious, they want to build the future and the way to do that is by walking the path and being focused all the time. They can't afford to be distracted by a person.

Hard Working:
No doubt young entrepreneurs believe in working hard as well as working smart enough to make good enough money and expand their business to the next level. Hard working not only means they don't have time for non-productive stuff. It also means they sometimes neglect the family matters.

Clarity of Purpose:
An entrepreneur is made or born. Thats on us to decide but he is driven with a purpose to make things happen. No matter what the situation is and that clarity of purpose defines his decision making skills and his path.

Networking Skills:
The coolest skill of an entrepreneur is his networking skills and the most embarrassing moment for a girl is when his boyfriend starts to talk with her friend and eventually the topic rolls out from the name of their dog to what kind of job and career path are they going for. The moment when they all feel low towards the men is eventually the most coolest.

Most of all "They Never Quit":
Well the best and the most important quality of any entrepreneurs is that they just don't quit. and eventually that the reason why most nerds end up being rich and marry to a pretty girl. This quality is the most important thing that help them to get anything they want. But sometimes quitting on the right track is also important in order to not waste any more time on useless stuff.

CONS:

Workaholics:
Whenever the girl wants to go out and enjoy the life, What do they do? Well, they go for clubbing or shopping. But what about an entrepreneurs? Well he just works, Right on that desk for hours and hours. Eventually that's the lifestyle he likes. Spending every second of their life to do something productive. The bad thing is girls don't like that until and unless she is a workaholic too. Which is highly unlikely, She might be shopaholic but not workaholic.

Too Busy to Enjoy Life:
As the Spiderman said "With great powers, comes greater responsibility" and young entrepreneurs believe that to the core. With their amazing smartness, they eventually have to leave the normal lifestyle and live life to the core of business. Which is not true in some case. Most of the young entrepreneurs enjoy life a lot.

They Spent more time with their team:
For most of the startups founded by young entrepreneurs, they are not like a team but like a family. They live like roommates working hard to make things happen which is not a good sign for a relationship.

I couldn't find more cons, You got anything in mind either Pros or Cons of dating an young entrepreneur?

Another con would be that even when they're away from work they're trying to think of new ideas for their business rather than living in the moment with the person they're with.

I do agree with that... some of them don't even remember that they are on a vacation. Its all about work and work all the time.

P.S. I have been one of those myself.

I tell all women I talk to before dating,

"I am NOT every girls cup of tea. I have flaws.
I make mistakes. And I am human. I am also a
romantic, passionate, and sexual in nature.

    ...if...you can except for who I am...AS I am...
then we will be the best of friends...and the
best of lovers. Do you understand?"

I don't sugar coat anything. And I tell it like it
    is.

    I know what I want and I won't stop until I
GET what I want. No matter the challenge or
obstacles put in place. They can be overcame.

    By the way...

...the fact you couldn't come up with more
'cons' is testament to your entrepreneurial
    mindset...because I can't think of any either.

    Are there any cons?

    I mean...

...we go after what we want.

We're PASSIONATE about our desires to want
    more of ourselves.

We're DRIVEN and love living life to the fullest.

    What ARE the cons?

I honestly believe entrepreneurs understand life better than an office worker bee. I think they are easier to date and get that working is not what life is all about. So, that is a plus.

As far as the Con's go... isn't the point of all this to NOT be so busy 50-80 hours a week? I suppose we can always say "I'd rather work 80 hours a week for myself rather than some asshole" but still. I thought we got in this to NOT be so stinkin busy.

I guess it's all about time management, right? Spending enough time with the boy/girlfriend, friends, family, while also running a successful business.

The good thing about this business is that "People don't succeed cause they aim too high and miss, no, they aim too low... and hit. Most people don't aim at all." (Les Brown)

Not us... Not marketers. We live far above mediocrity. Always keep this in mind at all times..

Hey man, that's a really great post. I think this is something people should talk about more.

I think entrepreneurship can be great once you get over the hump and become successful, but until then it can take a serious toll on relationships.

I'm glad to see someone put these thoughts into writing.

I agree with you. We are a different species, most of us only prefer to look at the bright side of the tunnel.

You are right, At the end its all about priority and time management. If you cant spend the precious time with family than what else are you working? Good one

Dating an entrepreneur of any age will certainly be a great experience. Male or female.

          You've made some good points...

However I'm going to have to disagree with two...

Too Busy to Flirt with someone else
This is a con. Girls like it when you flirt with someone else and can show that you are good with the opposite sex. However this would be a benefit if you were dating a female entrepreneur...

There was a study which happened back a few years... It took a man's dating profile and used the picture as the only variable. The first picture was the man on his own... the second showed him with two or three females.

Can you guess which one got the most results?

          The latter.

          Too Busy to Enjoy Life
          What? Naaaaaa.

I'm an entrepreneur to enjoy life. I'm not a slave to the money... that's a secondary benefit.

I build businesses because I enjoy it. It's my primary goal...

...but I still go out on the evenings.

...I still make time to see my favourite people.

...and I will always make time to see any Marvel film (guilty pleasure...).

          etc etc.

I do like the majority of what you have wrote Shah... let me point out my favourite.

Focused on the future, independent and clarity of purpose all cover it.

You know what you want. It's your main goal and you know how you're going to get there.

The woman who crosses your path will never take 1st place. Yes they will be important... yes you will designate a significant amount of time to them... but they will not stop you from achieving what you want.

I've found girls to prefer this quality over everything.

          Anyhow...

Great post. Hope to read more.

          Chris
