Oh No the internet is down!

Last year my internet and phone line went down for six weeks, In fact the whole area went down for six weeks

I was not a happy bunny naturally as you can imagine! after much calling and much letter writing my ISP decided that a months free calls would suffice. What I get free calls allowance on my mobile and I never even use that up!

Not Happy at all as you can well imagine . Being a blogger, website designer and developer I naturally need the internet to run my business and pay my mortgage.

So what did I do then?
  • Not get Mad as there is nothing I could do about it anyway
  • Count my Blessings! I can work anywhere, not just here at home
  • Learned to value patience. Plan my Days ahead
  • Value my time away from the internet

What would you do if you had no internet or phone line for six weeks? Thoughts?

I don't use my phone line much as I mainly run through my mobile...

But I would go sit in an cafe with WiFi.

It would be a nice change of scenery at least...

In an emergency, learn to use your phone as a router (Samsung Galaxies can do this).

But it's always a good idea to have something you can do when you're not online, such as article writing or product creation.

  • I admit I am totally addicted to the Internet. The Web is such an astounding resource it cannot be ignored.

I believe if I had no access to Internet or Phone I would turn my attention to maximizing my work on the home and land and write up plans and fresh ideas for the future when normalcy is restored. Heaven Forbid.

I would create a ton of content offline Phil. Videos, posts, eBooks....and do a little cafe work.

Going offline for extended periods can do absolute wonders for your creativity. Just gotta get offline, or learn how to adjust to situations like yours, as you did buddy
