Take a week off and READ like crazy
Whenever I feel stressed and it lasts for more than a couple days, I know it's time for a break. Many people simply work through the stress, but I've found that my work is very mediocre when I'm stressed and a few days off is actually more beneficial in the long run.
If you're overwhelmed, try to just drop everything and spend a couple days doing a whole lot of nothing. But one thing that you can do to make sure those days aren't wasted is read books, lots of them. Do this and you might experience:
- a burst of inspiration
- new ideas for your business
- less stress and more peace of mind
- greater motivation to succeed
- higher energy levels when you return to work
- ability to think more clearly
- better writing skills
- better communication skills
- higher levels of creativity
Instead of just pushing through the stress, consider doing the exact opposite. Relax, read a good book, and clear your mind of racing thoughts. The long term benefits of this are huge.
