You Won't Always Improve, You Will Fail.

The need for constant improvement is an attribute I see in entrepreneurs everywhere...

...and this is why being an entrepreneur is so bloody hard.

I'm talking emotionally.

Have you ever felt over the moon after a success?

Only to feel anxiety the next week when nothing is going right?

In our pursuit for constant improvement we tend to believe that progression is linear, but it's not. For most, it's a case of 2 steps forward, 1 step back.

You make 2 deals one week, only to achieve 1 the next...

Naturally you question yourself... how did I screw up? Why didn't I close 2 deals this week?

Unless you've spent the week with your feet up, it's not your fault.

It's circumstance.

But here's where the magic happens...

That 'step back' is what propels us forward another 2.

We aren't defeated.

We're on the canvas floor, but we get back up.

The next week we hit 3 new deals... a right hook which sends the past negative memory flying on to the ropes.

Now that's progression.

It's not a straight line, but when you continue in this manner, progression is inevitable.

There's no such thing as failure. There are only ways that don't work. If you find ways that don't work, learn from that and move on. Edison said he found 10,000 ways that didn't work before he had success. Imagine if he chose to give up before that remarkable 10,001th time.
