From Time To Time, Do You Stall?

You know, I would be willing to bet almost everyone reading these words stalls one way or another from time to time in the efforts they expend promoting their IM businesses.

I say this with some sense of certainty because it applies to me. I am, like so many of us on this forum, promoting some form (and there are so many) of Internet Marketing.

So now that I have set the stage for my own hanging I will admit to my most egregious stalling tactics from doing what I need to be doing to promote my business.

First and foremost I have fallen back into the television trap. On and off I probably spend three precious hours enjoying the box. Then there is the stretching out of any household task that needs to be done with. Lastly I would say any small distraction that comes my way tends to negatively influence my overall daily productivity only because I allow it.

I don't know about you all but I have slipped and need to tighten my ship. How about you? Come on, fessing up is good for our progress.

Same here bud, I fall into the trap of wasting time now and then and it significantly impacts the lifestyle in a negative way.

TV, reading online news, etc... It's all very damaging.

I'm still not sure what causes this, but you're right about the need to tighten up the ship...

It's funny you started this thread because for the past 2 days I've been going through a slump of laziness, this kind of knocked some sense into me that I need to get back on track

I wish you the best bud, hope you get back on track as well...

I don't really stall but sometimes I do run out of enthusiasm to do some of the tasks necessary to keep my business running.

Sometimes I get really tired out of nowhere. It can be frustrating because it's hard to be productive when you're tired or not "in the mood". On those days I just have to rely on my self-discipline. If I have a hard time pushing through my tiredness then I just take a quick nap and I'm fine after that.

Yes! But then I get my ass back on track by planning tasks that directly support my milestones and goals. Voila. Then when you have time to get things done.. you don't have to think about it. Just do.

You will stall if your 'Why' isn't big enough. What was your reason for getting into IM in the first place?

Was it to make a little extra money?

Was it to make a lot of money?

If it is just about money, then you will stall most of the time.

But if you have a really big why (what the money is for), in other words you have an absolutely huge desire to help your family ETC or something along those lines, then you will not need motivation.

You will be driven by 'inspiration'.

And when that happens, you become unstoppable!!

Totally agree with Rory, If you have a big enough reason why then you won't stall, you will just carry on, there is no way I can afford to stall.
