Do you believe in Laughter Therapy ? Heres Are Some Facts

- Laughter not only provides a full-scale workout for your muscles, it unleashes a rush of stress-busting endorphins. What's more, your body can't distinguish between real and fake laughter - any giggle will do

-The elation you feel when you laugh is a great way of combating the physical effects of stress. When we laugh, our body relaxes and endorphins (natural painkillers) are released into the blood stream.

-Researchers at the University of Michigan have also calculated that just 20 seconds of laughter could be as good for the lungs as three minutes spent on a rowing machine.

-Laughter therapy is suitable for everyone

-children laugh about 400 times a day whereas adults manage a miserable 15.

-A laughter therapy session may leave you feeling elated and exhausted in equal measure. Muscle tone and cardiovascular functions may be improved, and oxygen levels in the blood may be boosted.

-Laughing in the face of anger, stress or anxiety - even if it's forced laughter - can actually lift your mood. And it's infectious, so you can expect to see those around you benefiting from a good giggle too.

Laughter therapy is great but it seems a bit strange to do it in unfitting social settings.

Laughing DOES work and improve your overall well being, but I believe it needs to be blended into your day to day life.

Overall, it's obviously something of interest

I love how laughter short circuits over thinking about things. How many times have we seen incredibly serious people stressed out of their minds? Laughter not only helps with the stress it also stops the brain from thinking. Laughter allows us to release our own thinking-too-much.
