7 TASKS TO OPTIMIZE YOUR DAY

IN 14 MINUTES (OR LESS)
**These were inspired by a marathon TED session I did a few months ago!!
  • Do a web search on Google for baby animal photos. Click on (3) of these photos to look more closely. Take note at how cute they are and how they make you feel. [2 minutes]
  • Spend 30 seconds in a confident winners pose (chest out, arms stretched out above head, smiling) Spend 30 seconds sitting or standing confidently telling yourself you are the man or woman [1 minute total]
  • Write 2 gratitude statements “I am thankful for…” [2 minutes]
  • Send out (1) very positive email or text to somebody you know thanking them for something [1 minute]
  • Pick a number between 100-200 and count down to 0 by either 3, 5, or 7 [2 minutes]
  • Write down a positive experience you’ve had in the last 24 hours. This can be very small such as the milk you had for breakfast tasted yummy [1 minute]
  • Do nothing for 5 minutes. Literally find a quiet sanctuary, close your eyes, and think about nothing. If your mind starts thinking about stuff, just let the thoughts go as relaxed as you could. This will get easier if you start doing it more! [5 minutes]

Love it. Thanks for sharing Kenster. It is critical to start your day in a positive way, and you break it down in an easy-to-follow way (and fun, too!)

Great advice man... The part about doing nothing for 5 minutes or so has such an impact sometimes.

Love starting out the day well. One of the things I have noticed that makes a big difference with me is to wake up nice and easy. Blaring alarms that "shock" me awake make the day hard to start with. Waking up easy or naturally helps me so much more.

Even better, go to YouTube and look at video about baby animals. There are some that are very cute and will get you in the right mood very fast.

    Thanks for sharing.

OK I started this morning. Then I read my goals. Good way to start the day. It took me 14 minutes. Now I am on my way to the pet store to get a dog. Just kidding.

Eeeeekkk...yeah that wasn't the desired outcome of the exercise.

With that said, at least you didn't buy a baby lion or bear...those things are cute...until they grow up!

Good tips Kenster. To get a fresh start in a morning good to adopt some of these. I agree on that baby lion part well one can have a baby Deer or bring some vegetarian baby animal home in case to prevent... :p
