Shopping And Positive Thinking

So I went shopping with a friend of mine to buy some new jeans.

At the first store we went to I must have tried on something like 10-15 pairs. (All of them the wrong size.) It must have took a good 30 minutes or somaybe more.

Leaving the store it would seem like a waste of time. However without trying on all those pairs of jeans, I wouldn't know exactly what size I needed. So at the next store all we had to do was find a pair the right size, try them on, and then purchase them. Simple.

I was thinking about this today and how it relates to being a successful Entrepreneur.

You may have to try several things (and spend time doing them) to find out what you have to do in order to make your ambitions successful.

As Thomas Edison said: “I didn't fail 10,000 times, I just found 10,000 ways not to invent a light bulb.” And without trying those 10,000 times, we wouldn't have his marvellous invention.

How can you apply “positive thinking” in your daily life?

    Awesome analogy J!

We try, tweak, attempt, and maintain a positive frame of mind through it all to see the greatest success.

Keep at it until you get it, changing approaches if need be.

Success is never a straight line from point A to B. It's a backward forward zigzag, a reiterative process of trial and error. The sooner someone embraces the possibility they might fail many, many times before seeing success, the easier becomes the journey.

      Good point.

Part of one of my favourite quotations (that my Brother gave me) is:

“There is no such thing as failure. Either you get the desired outcome, or you learn. Either way, you win.” Or put another way: “Failure is success when you learn from it.”

Think like enterpreneurs in everything you do and one will be enterpreneur with this approach.

Success in life depends on many things and two of them are how you approach things and how you look into everything happening around you.

        Good one.
Important thing is that one need to learn from failures and mistakes. Once it happen, take them positive and learn from them. Don't let failures let you down. In fact the best approach towards failures is to learn why it happened and how to avoid them in future.

Nice story Jonathan 2.0, it is a great thing when we can see the journey to success in a small everyday situation and an even better thing to learn from them and apply them.

I love this quote related to failure and success:

You are capable of more than you know. Choose a goal that seems right for you and strive to be the best, however hard the path. Aim high. Behave honorably. Prepare to be alone at times, and to endure failure. Persist! The world needs all you can give.

Good quotation, Jonathan. Every win and every failure is a lesson and therefore a success. Likewise, every moment is a lesson waiting to be learned and therefore a success, if for no other reason than because we can learn from the moment. This cultivates a mentality of gratitude for each moment and all things, which goes a long way in building lasting success, material and personal.
