what makes a dollar worth a dollar

where getting a lot of dollars .. is on many peoples lists of things to do ..what actually give a dollar it's value .
and when the government that prints those dollars , openly has a policy to devalue the each of those dollars ..on a frequent basis .
when if a bank runs into trouble it is now allowed to confiscate a good amount of the money in the biggest depositor accounts .
now for the last five years at least the people who had saved and invested money over their lives ..have seen very low returns or no returns ..while seeing food,medical and energy price go up double digits or more .
and for gold to be the investment godsend it has been sold by the likes of g gordon liddy (wasn't water gate his idea ) the value of the dollar has to go down .. but gold does very little good ..the last time it was used as a currency for large nations was the roman empire .
so lets get to the bright side .
say you can earn a lot of money now what are the things you can do that may have the best long term pay offs .
1, Health . if you look at the cost of common diseases ..and the monthly cost for medications . changing your diet ..the way you eat..and getting most processed food out of your diet ..basically pick a way people ate over 100 years ago.. and eat along those line with portion size .
2 , if you live in colder climates look into installing a thermal mass stick fire heater ..or a high efficency wooden cook stove to heat your house in the cold months .
3 compost your yard waste ..get a couple chickens where you can and feed them food scraps from your left overs ..and worm compost what they can't eat .. then save the ases from your wood stove ..and you have the makings of the best posible soil to grow veggies and other food in ..that has a ton more nutrients in it than anything you can buy ..
4 preparing your own food does not mean you will lose weight. but it does mean you can avoid much of the crap in fast food and processed food .with the health problems that come with it .
if you are making money online and making enough to live off of ..it opens up so many areas where you can save money ..or gives you time to turn things that would cost money into a way to make money if needed .
why so many people are struggling or falling behind ..or fat and sick. i because sense the end of ww2 ..american have been turned into consumers and had been trained through the generation ..to do less for themselves ..all they needed to know how to do was work for money..and they could use that money to get everything they needed .
the us dollar will probably not crash suddenly but most likely continue it's decline .
Yes you can position yourself to keep earning more ..but check out what a heart attack..or cancer ..or other preventable disease cost you now ..and it does turn out that earning more money does reduce your risks .
