Adopt a WINNING Mindset
How do you do this?
It's actually simple....
Make winning a habit.
An Every. Day. Occurrence.
Consciously strive towards winning EVERY situation. Make everything you do a win or lose situation, even the smallest of tasks. Start by making a list of everything you want to accomplish in a day. As you complete each task, rather than crossing it out or checking it off, put a big ole' "W" next to it. Obnoxiously large. Purposely leave it uncrossed out, that way you can see what the task was and know you beat it; know that you won. To some this will sound silly. But if you want to think like a winner, and ultimately BE a winner, you need to drill the mindset into your head every chance you get.
The first "W" will feel good. You'll feel compelled to win the second task, then the third, fourth, and so on. By the end of the day, when you look back at your list and see nothing but W's, you'll feel accomplished, content, and most of all.... victorious.
Make every task a personal mission. Don't even entertain thoughts of failure or losing.
Winners HATE losing. Losing means that you weren't good enough, or that someone else was better than you. Look at yourself in the mirror and deem this unacceptable.
Hold yourself to offensively high standards. Make others uncomfortable by your drive and determination. I promise that's okay. When you strive to bring yourself up, to better yourself in some way, most will resist and try to prevent you from doing so. Nobody wants to see you do better than them.
Ignore their negative influence, strive towards your goals.
Advance with merciless grit.
Move with unapologetic resolve.
Accomplish the goal, win. Fail to accomplish, lose.
Simple as that. As the wins pile up, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, the feeling of victory becomes addicting. And as far as I'm concerned, winning is the healthiest addiction.
Through relentless effort and conscious habit, you will transform yourself into the winner you were born with the potential to be.
"Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once and a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit." - Vince Lombardi
