Excellent article in Entreprenuer magazine by time management expert Laura Vanderkam. She studied the early morning rituals of some of America's top business executives and shares it in the informative article.

Some of her findings may surprise you and some may not. It's fun to list your morning rituals before reading the article. Next, read it and see how many items of yours is on her list.

For example ...

My morning rituals before breakfast,( before reading the list) were
-Arise at 5:am
-Stretch 3 minutes
-100 pushups
-Drink water
-Meditate/ Prayer/Visualize 20 minutes
-Eat Breakfast
-Go to work.

Warrior, what's your morning ritual before you eat breakfast? List them then read the powerful article below. Thanks for sharing!

    I Wake up at 7:00am.
    Let the dogs out.
    Poop.
    Make my bed.
Jog on the treadmill for 25 minutes (3 days of the week I'll do a quickie workout after jogging).
    Shower.
Eat breakfast while watching Leave it to Beaver. :-)

Wow! Another Leave it to Beaver fan. Pleasure to meet ya. Be honest, has anyone taken more ribbing, flack and disrespect than of all people ... June Cleaver!

For some reason no woman today wants to be a June Cleaver. What's up with that? What did she ever do to anyone?

I was wondering what was so special about 'Leave it to Beaver' and I looked it up. We didn't grow up watching that show here in Italy but I watched some clips on YouTube.

I don't get a whole lot sleep because I am a new mom so any time I get to rest is a big bonus. Being a mom is awesome but my morning's are so different now. Every one tells me that it will takes years till I get back to my usual schedule. Either ways I love being a mom

Great post! I wake up around 5:30, let the dog out, do yoga, meditate, eat breakfast, take a shower and then get on with my day.

The critical take-away is that they carve out time for the things that keep them sane at the BEGINNING of the day...not in the middle, or at the end.

You can have something on your calendar that's important, but if it's in the middle of the day you'll probably be interrupted. And if it's booked for the end of the day, you'll find excuses to skip it because you're too tired.

That's the big takeaway for me. Plunk that baby down in the early morning when you won't be interrupted, and git 'er done.

Make my bed within 60 seconds of waking up (old military school habit)

    Chug bottle of water

Flexibility training and joint conditioning (20minutes)

Chug another bottle of water with morning supplements: creatine mono hydrate, organic maca root power, pharmaceutical grade green tea extract, a bunch of seed extracts and a greens superfood shake

    Shower/blood circulation optimization

    Fast and meditate (1 hours)

Write 2-3 pages of my novel (2 hours)

    Breakfast

Creatine powder might give you stomach issues so early in the morning. I would recommend Creatine Transdermal Patches that deliver creatine directly to the bloodstream.

Been taking monohydrate for years and no issues so far. I take it as part of a much heavier shake now, about 45 minutes after waking up. Thanks for the heads up though

T.M.I . But very observant nonetheless! I'm almost sure even the unsuccessful people do that as much as the successful. But I could be wrong.

Lets see - I go to bed late so I'm up between 8 and 9 am -

            1) stretch
            2) washroom
            3) open windows to let in fresh air
            4) make a pot of coffee
            5) read and drink first cup of coffee
            6) have breakfast
            7) fire up the laptop to check emails

sorry, I take my time in the morning - I don't believe in these studies because what success means to one person doesn't mean the same thing to someone else.
To me success isn't just about having money though it is a part of it.

also, I prefer to exercise in the early evenings - which is my peak time

to each their own, I guess

For me meditation is key. I have to begin and end my day with meditation. I also run a mental list of everything I am grateful for, from things to people that I appreciate.

I have a power breakfast fit for a king that is uber healthy.

    I read the newspaper.

I also have to work out. I used to run on the treadmill but now I also do some yoga as I find it helps me as I am getting older ahahhahaha.

I feel I am more productive in the mornings. I also have to make a list.

I've first heard about a morning routine in Eben Pagan's Wake Up Productive.

The problem with it is that when I follow it to the book I end up starting work at 12:00 - 13:00.

So here's the best routine I've discovered in years of trial and error:
    1. Wake up early (early depends on who you are, for me early means 06:00).
    2. Shower, brush your teeth, etc.
    3. Get dressed in something comfortable and pick up your MP3 player.
    4. Go outside and walk for 30 - 50 minutes. Listen to music or to something inspirational.
    5. Get home, shower again if you want, eat your breakfast.
    6. Read for a few minutes and then get to work.

I workout, pray and meditate, have a small fruit breakfast, have a power shake, drive the kids to school and then start my day in front of the computer.

My morning ritual includes yoga and qi chong, followed by a shower, a bowl of cereal with cut pieces of fruit, walking the dog and then going to work.

    Lets see....
    1) wake up
    2) brush and shower
    3) prayers
    4) have breakfast
    5) usually walk down (which becomes an exercise) to office

I am a working mother, so hardly i find time to do anything for myself. I get free time after 10/11PM, and I become so tired then that even if i sit down to watch TV, I fall fast asleep on the coach itself !! So when to do exercise ??

The first thing I do is tell myself "this is going to be my last day, so I'll live it to the fullest". This helps me prioritize things and at the end of the day nothing usually gets left out.

    Wake up around 8 am

Drink water with fresh lemon and a piece of fruit

    Go to local coffee shop

Check emails and work for 3-4hours

Then go for a cycle, gym or swim and relax.

or on the flipside ( Beast mode activated ) wake up at 5am and grind out 15hour days working straight.
