The key is to not worry about spending time on Facebook and worry more about actually spending time on your other projects and goals. Most of the time when we let ourselves get distracted it is because we are trying to avoid something.

I now only use FB on my mobile - I keep my desktop PC for work.

Then you can check FB when you have downtime like on the loo, on the bus, taking a 5 minute rest etc. etc. etc.

Just deactivate your account if you feel you're on it too much.

Social media is such a time killer.

I quit facebook two years ago and then re-joined last December. I re-joined due to the importance of having a social brand tied to your company/business. Now I use it to post which networking event I'll be at mostly from my Business page, and only add people I hang out with on a more or less monthly basis atleast or people that I actively engage with in conversation or I met via an event I'm excited about.

Logging into facebook became more of a habit for me since I got the app on my phone. So I keep it logged off and on the 3'rd screen of my iPhone. My 1st screen has LinkedIn, Shortcut to WArrior forum, Quora, anything related to business or career. Oh and okcupid cause thats harmless fun

To use any website less, stop going to the website and be disciplined about it. You need to use self control. No one can really force you, it has to come from you.
