Hey this theory of motivation is definitely interesting...

Okay here's a theory of motivation which I heard
from this real estate guy.

According to research (what he said) people that
that live in cold places are more motivated and
ambitious (not extremely cold, think Japan and
Germany), whereas people living in the hot parts
of the world tend to be more laid back and relaxed,
and not as ambition-driven in general.

From your personal experience, do you agree or
disagree?

(don't take this too serious, just for some general
discussion)

Thinking about it, I do personally stay more focused
when it's colder. And when it gets really hot I
become lazy and less productive. You?

I find that hard to believe - Ive lived in hot and cold climates and have to say that I think it entirely depends on the people rather than the place.

If the researcher is looking at places like Fiji or Mauritius or some other beautiful island - then why wouldnt you be laid back? when you live in paradise you probably aren't desperately trying to change your circumstances.

And focussed in the cold? Well, probably you are focussed on how you are going to get your next holiday to somewhere warm!!

Not sure this is entirely true, but I do think it has alot more to do with the location of more developed countries where ambitions are driven into people, versus many of the hotter countries (nearer the equator) which often are the countries which are less developed....

So with Global Warming going on, it's no wonder people are becoming demotivated (lol)
