The Secret To Success?

Have you ever heard of a guy named Eric Thomas? If you haven't then
you are in for a surprise today.

Eric Thomas also known as "ET" went through a lot in his life. Some things he went through were...

- Getting kicked out his house at at the age of 17

- Dropping out of high school

- Going to jail

- Being homeless for over 2 years

Can you imagine going through all of these things? Fortunately most of us would never have to go through these types of things.

If I were to tell you what he is doing now...you probably wouldn't believe me.

As to date he is...

- A worldwide sought out inspirational speaker

- Completing his PHD

- Has tens of thousands of followers/supports

Now I have a quick question for you.

If he can do it, why can't you?

He's no different from us. I mean, he is a human being. He has flesh and blood like you and I.

What's different about him?

His philosophy. His thoughts. This is what he mastered.

He is most famous for saying "When you want to succeed as bad as you
want to breathe, then you'll be successful"
.

When you let that sink in for a second, see the live YouTube video here.

So...

Do you want it as bad as you want to breathe?

Hope that got your brain muscles working!

-Omar

Yes, its all about the desire. When you want something real bad, you think of WAYS to get things done even if you may not have the means at the moment. ET started from the bottom...

      It's a great story!

    I just love E.T

Been watching him for 2 years every Monday.

The only thing that looks strange with his message is that.

He tells you that we wakes up every day to run X number of kilometers etc. But he is still fat

    Cheers,

    C.G.

he is not fat with as much muscle mass he has on his arms and chest

there is a difference between being fat and being built big ..now he is built big and would probably be waddling around with quite a bit ..he is not overweight for being almost 50 with his build

Yes but you get my point. You don't brag about running constantly every morning with a body like that.

why not and what is wrong with his build ..or do you just assume everyone who runs every day should be thin .

i have a body somewhat like that and jogging every day when i was 18 and in boot camp.. ended up doing damage to my knees i still have .. to have that build and still run every day with not physical trouble .

it would take major ilness to make someone with that build skinny .

This has truly inspired me. I can somewhat relate to what Thomas has been through and makes me realize that when you have been through these unfortunate events it makes you think about where you are now and what you can do to improve yourself and make life better. I'm glad to hear how successful he is now. It's just truly inspiring.

Yeah, after listening to him for a bit I noticed that I don't have it too bad after all. Sometimes we think our lives suck and they might at first. But someone out there has it 100X worst then you and they are doing all they can to make it happen. So any obstacle you run into in your life could be beaten.

It won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

i think me an cg are both correct ..as he goes over in the video i put up he use to try to eat a little of everything so it did add some weight ..so you will see it in the older videos ..but through cutting back and running he has taken it off ..

so if you look at the older videos he will be overweight ..while it is corrected in the newer videos

Yea in his newer videos he is definitely more fit

....Thanks for posting about ET. He has definitely been my favorite since 2011, and I not only watch his TGIM (Thank God it's Monday) series, but I listen to his one of his audio messages everyday.

It gets me pumped up and ready to start the day.

Although wanting it bad is important I also love the TED talk about drive (action) being the #1 skill to being successful. It gets me to wondering – is wanting success bad more important than just doing what it takes? Is the desire for success more important than taking action?

It seems far better to just do what it takes to be successful. Much less work.

When I was learning to ride a bike I remember pushing through my fears of falling over, stretching to come back after defeat, and practicing hard. Now I realize all I had to do was simply just go ride the bike. Pay attention, listen to my body reacting, pedal – steer.

    Work smart, eh?

Now. Hearing about how hard he had it and what I had to go through myself. Now that helps me a lot. Puts a lot of life’s problems in perspective real quick to hear about the hard knocks others have gone through and come out on top. Especially when they do it without whining or begging. Professional help is awesome!

i find the success crowd ..tend to hang around the money and the work ..as a badge of honor ..

there is a difference between successful people and most everyone else ..their work is their fun ..and they are not making money so they can stop working..they are making more money so they can have more fun doing what they do .

this applies to people who are not millionaires and billionaires as well ..if you are an artist..and you travel around and do your art ..and it supports your travel and doing as much art .

what do you want to do with the majority of your waking hours ..and can you find a way to making enough money doing it to not have to earn money another way .

I really need to check out that TED talk. I actually found out about the TED confrences not to long ago but I am glad I was able to view them on youtube. They are awesome.

I agree, nothing beats action. Because even if you mess up (which you will most likely at first), you learn from that. No action = no results.

Not trying to defend anyone but You can be 6 feet tall and 100 kilos or 220 lbs with 3 percent fat. So does this mean you are fat. Not at all. In fact this is as lean as you can get. 97 percent lean body mass. On the other hand you could be 6 feet and weighing 75 kilos and still have 25 kilos of fat or 33 percent. Does it mean your are fat? For a man by all means you will be considered fat. For Men carrying anything above 11 percent of body weight as fat is considered unhealthy and off course FAT. So there you have it If E.T is carrying much of his weight on his arms and chest then he is healthy. Weight around the mid-section is a different matter altogether.
