Hello guys,
I read this whole article somewhere and wanted to share with you guys as i found really good and useful

What do you do when a team has lost its confidence? For many organizations, this question has an immediate and reaching impact. When teams lose their confidence, either in each other, or on the task that the team was created for, productivity can suffer and the group's failure becomes more plausible. When these start to happen, many organizations look to find a way to boost team confidence to help the group succeed. However, with many different options out there, what is an option that could greatly influence the team while boosting their confidence?

One great option to boost a team's confidence is through some fun team building events. By having these activities, the members of you team are able to work together towards a common goal while working on various team building skills. By performing in these activities, members of the team will gain a sense of accomplishment, and with that some additional confidence to take on the tasks that lay before them. Fun teambuilding also has another advantage of giving a team a break from the work that they are currently doing. In some cases, this has the advantage of allowing your team, who may be getting discouraged by their tasks, a chance to grow together as a team and then work on the task with a refreshed and refocused mentality. By doing that, you can tremendously replenish, and in many cases increase, the confidence that the team has.

Team building may also help to bring up some issues that the group did not realize that they even had. These hidden issues, if found and solved, can greatly increase a group's confidence and help it to work even better than before.By having these team building events, you can then regain the confidence necessary for any team to thrive. Once the team has their confidence back, great things can begin to happen. With that increased confidence, ideas can flourish, projects can be completed, and team members not only work better together, but more efficiently as well. So, looking at the great possibilities, what would you do when a team has lost its confidence?

Personal opinion here. A team are made up of individuals. Target individual 'hearts'.

From my experience of a sales team. Always refresh their memories when, how and the 'feel' after closing a sales. Lost of confidence is normal after few days of 'zero' sales. Then negativity (things like what ifs..., i was lucky that time..., i don't think this is going to work... ) will spread to each and other members in a team.

Try to find the one who spreads the 'negative virus' first and isolate him/her away from the rest of the team member. Try to remove the 'virus' first before letting him/her joining back to the team.

My best way to boost team confidence is to throw in some incentive after we have achieve some objective together.

Incentives maybe things like money, time off with their loved ones, some fancy restaurant for dinners, even to the extend to have dinners with their families.

My idea of a team is like a family members working together. In that way, people tends to help one another without hesitation and thus improve the efficiency and productivity. Just like the Army we would push each other to achieve our goals together.

The above is based on my experience running a sales team previously. Hope it contributed.
