For me, this is worth it considering the amount of time and energy I would have put in doing it by myself.

Very simple but not many people are doing this. Just go straight over to scribd.com and create an account. You can now start uploading articles in ebook, audio e.t.c format to be read by millions of people who are likely to see your link and visit your site ( don't forget to include your link).

This works, I bet it works. Forums are a very good way of getting free traffic. Register on forums and be active on them. If all you can do is to welcome new comers to the forum, then do it. Just be active posting usefull not bogus posts.
