Hey Warriors,

Michael here and I wanted to share this phenomenal quote with you, which was shared with me a long time ago that I never forgot, and still remember to this day!

EXCUSES:
Excuses are tools of incompetence used to build monuments of nothingness, those that specialize in using them, seldom accomplish anything!

Read over that quote . . .

Stop and ponder over it . . .

Really think about what it's saying . . .

Do this, and I promise you that you will never have the urge to make another excuse!

Change your view on excuses. Use your excuse as a compass. Anytime you make an excuse, you should realize that whatever it is you're trying to avoid, that is exactly what you need to do, and you need to do it a.s.a.p.

Couldn't agree more. Focus on what helps you and what gets results, stay away from the distractions.

    Agree, focus is key.

beside it is important to check in some cases what is the root of the excuse... since if you do not change the root it will came back all the time

Wow... thats a sobering thought!!! Trying to justify something can also lead to formulating excuses. Admitting you are wrong is the first and best step to bettering yourself!

I once heard some say at a workshop that excuses are well planned lies.

Great quote, Michael. Benjamin Franklin said "He that is good at making excuses is seldom good for anything else". Excuses are a sure path to defeat.

If I've been sick and someone asks me what's wrong, I rarely say it as I consider anything that keeps me from finishing my work to be an excuse. And, most clients just want results not excuses or 'reasons' the work was not done. I don't care how sympathetic others seem when they find out why there was a delay if you look at the situation from their point of view, anything you say as to why the work is not done is just another excuse.

I would also add to these thoughts that "reasons" are usually "excuses in disguise".
In other words, what we often want to give as "reasons" for this or that usually is nothing more than an excuse.
