What Is YOUR Morning Ritual?

I believe incorporating a morning ritual into your life is one of the most important things we can do for being more productive as entrepreneurs, as well as getting more happiness and fulfillment out of our lives.

This topic has made me want to ask: What is YOUR Morning Ritual?

What do you do each morning when you wake up?

What motivates you, gets you excited for the day, and helps you be productive?

Please share.

Here's a great video that goes into my morning ritual, as well as what doing a morning routine can do for you:

Make bed, flexibility training, joint conditioning, meditation, breakfast, shower/bloodflow optimization stretches. In that order.

There's a saying in the nutrition industry that your breakfast sets the tone for the rest of your day in terms of how you eat.

I think what you do in the first hour after waking up sets the tone the rest of your day in terms of everything.

Totally agree about having a fantastic morning ritual. It took me a long time before realizing the power of it.

I love these incantations, Stefan. Great video!

I wake up saying a prayer basically to ask for help in living out my purpose...which is basically helping people, being useful and making a contribution best I can with the skills I have.

Green juice when I'm feeling up for it... or coffee and then,

Bike ride while its nice and cool out. Its great exercise and clears my head.

Back home, I post on Skype and FB to sell my traffic.

Then I work on my coaching program. Look for leads. Set up calls. Try to create content a few times a week.

Once I get some work done, its all about promoting, getting the word out, etc.

Then I get to play and make fun posts like this!

    =)

i am still in vaction mode .. there is no alarm/oportunity clock in my room.. but i ten to wake up between 6 and seven am and the first thing i do i drink some cold water sometimes close to a liter of fluid .. after i step on the scale of course .

i added drinking a glass of brizilian slimming coffee into the morning grove this week.. then i eather walk to shops close by and by the stuff i need to make breakfast ..or i walk ten minutes to a place that serves a tasty breakfest that is close by .

then i either chatter on on forums or read and look at stuff online about what i am trying to get involved in doing .. untill about 11 am then i take a trike to the local mall and wal around for a half hour to an hour ..

basically i have been identifying when in the day i want to do productive things and when am i better off just relaxing ..

Definitely some form of exercise every morning is very important. Get the blood flowing, relieve some stress and get some fresh air.

No need to strive for six pack abs. Just going for a walk helps I personally go for a run, first thing, and it's amazing what's happened in my life since I've started this!

I do planning in the morning. That's an important thing to do. I usually wake up at 5AM, and by doing that you already knew what your task that day.

I was just thinking about this as I stumbled into this category today. Waking up at a similar time every morning and actually GETTING woke up has made me more determined, goal-oriented, and positive. Before this, I would just roll around until noon or later. I've found that the discipline of getting up every morning is just another small step in becoming a stronger business man.

I wake up naturally around 6AM every morning, to do this I maintain a similar bed time every night and woke up to an alarm for months straight. In order to actually wake up every morning, I had to get out of bed and actually get my blood flowing. It doesn't take much. Here's what I do..

-I always go to the bathroom first. Rinse out my mouth, look at my beautiful face, do my business if I have to then proceed to the kitchen.
-I always eat and drink something, even if it's just a glass of milk.
-Roam around aimlessly in my apartment until I decide on something to read about.
-Read quality information for a hot minute. I loose track but McDonald's almost doesn't serve breakfast anymore when I'm done. Yes, sometimes I eat twice.
-Play some games or watch TV for a while until fully charged!

It's not much of a ritual, but I do the same thing every single morning and it keeps me going pretty good. I actually go to bed and get excited about getting up the next morning now. I learn more and hold in more every day.

    1) Wake up early and immediately come from an inner stance of loving to be up and face the world and to live my path and purpose.

    2) Brush Teeth

    3) Drink a whole food supplement called Green Vibrance, this stuff is AMAZING. I have research whole food supplements a lot and every time I learn of a new standard that they should meet this one lives up to it. You can get a 60 day supply for around $60 so only about $1 per day and you can literally feel the difference. I don't know how I got through the day without it before.

    4) Cook a breakfast with at least 30 grams of protein, no protein shake allowed, this helps keep your body from storing fat, if you want to know more about a healthy diet that is easy to follow and gets results look up the Slow Card Diet. It's basically just eating lots of protein and slow cars like beans and veggies. This diet also lets you have one cheat day per week. What is great about this diet is it's possible to loose the fat and build muscle at the same time. At first you will loose quite a bit of weight every week but it will end up averaging a solid 2lbs of fat loss per week even without exercising.

    5) Meditate for 20 minutes

    6) Afformations (yes afformations look it up) Also ask my self questions that I want my brain to answer. Why is my business growing so fast and easily? Why do I have so much energy?
What ever you ask yourself your mind will find the answers too. This is more powerful then you realize

    7) Exercise, usually sprints(look at how a sprinters body looks vs. what a long distance runners body looks like) and some ab work or some HIIT.

    8) Read something positive for a few minutes

    9) Shower

    10) Get to work

The first thing I do in the morning is brush my teeth. lol! Before I do anything else I make sure I have brushed my teeth already. I don't know but I've been doing this since I was young and it probably has stuck on me up to know. Also a part of my "Morning Ritual" is breakfast, no matter what. Also I make sure that I wake up earlier than 9am even on weekends because I feel like my days are longer when I wake up early and longer day = more work getting done!

I always have a favorite album that I like to play in the morning. Not necessarily to "get me started" but it's just something nice to hear when I wake up. As an added nostalgia, it's still on CD too.

I draw a picture of my long term goals on a piece of paper. Many people write out and describe their goals, I'd rather draw them. It definitely gets me more engaged and imaginative to start of the day, and most importantly, I'm focused on my goal, and what it will look like. If I add colors and extra details, I usually "feel" the goals even more and I get even more motivated to hit the ground running.

A great habit! I am a terrible artist, (stick figure drawings to this day), but if you try to express your goals on paper through illustrations, you'll truly associate to your goals in a new way.
