Start Following Your Advice ...

Want to make your life better today?

Stop giving advice to others, of any kind and actually put that advice to practice. It is always easier to give advice to someone else because it is a black & white situation. When it comes to your own person, it is "complicated".

It is always complicated.

But if parents would apply 50% of the advice they give to their kids in their own life, there would be almost no unhappy families.

If managers would actually use 50% of the advice given to their employees, to their team, they would be super high-achievers.

If motivational authors, speakers, self-development gurus and people who are simply interested in improving themselves would actually use 50% of what they write in blog posts and books, they would not need to sell a single book, they would be too rich too count.

I've seen folks who are not earning $500/month and are writing books on how they've earned $5000/month with free traffic. I've seen messed up people who are divorced and can't love or have a healthy relationship give advice about how to be happy in a relationship. And I've seen folks who never get anything done give advice about productivity.

*** Disclaimer - These examples are based on real life experiences and less on forums and WF in general. ***

If they would use 1 of the 10 pieces of advice they were so willingly to give, they would be champs. Yet they are not. They are losers.

So learn how to follow the advice you give to others. If it works for them, it will work for you. You're not that special.

You have a definite point here. If we can't lead ourselves, we are not ready to lead others.

much of what i put on the forum is stuff i am doing or moving toward doing..though i understand your post ..i also post about what i see people doing .

there is a lot of stuff that sound really good about success ..see when it is advice..when you give it you know most of the time it will be ignored.. and you need to hear the same advice from dozens of different credible sources ..before you listen..when the advice is free .

You are 100% correct. In the past I have given out some of the best advice, it would be spot on suggestions about what you should or should not do. After talking with me people would tell me I was right and that my advice helped. However, my situation was completely jacked up, I did not listen to anything I told other people to do. The change only happened when I stopped talking so much and actually started doing some of my excellent advice.

Good points, you need to have a sense of leadership before you can lead others.
