I know a business owner who outsourced some mobile marketing applications to a company. He said that they're charging him a "licensing fee" every time someone texts a number in their phone - which then gives them access to his product. This sounds a bit shady as the company is collecting money every time without really doing much work.. seems like they're just hosting this guys mobile app. I'm wondering if he has any other options he can do to get around the licensing fee, can he operate this himself or have a company do it that won't charge him a fee every time? Thanks for any help! |

If he's just using mobile keywords, than he is definitely getting the short end of the stick on this one.

Can you explain a bit more? I think they're texting keywords to a number... Any other options for them to explore? |
