|  Ways to make financial projections for a mobile app?

Are there ways to project how much cash an app is going to generate? I'm thinking of all the data I could gather right now to make a projection.. And that includes Number of app downloads for similar app But then is it possible to know how much the owner made from that app made? I'm guessing there is no mobile app owner that have made their company public and openly trading on the stock market What if the app owner used marketing tactics such as giving away free apps to drive traffic to his paid app.. What if your app idea is not created yet (which is my case right now) How would you calculate financial projections if you can't measure your competition? |

However, developers like to make projections and they are usually wrong but that doesn't seem to bother anyone. So, you have an idea for an app and want to know how much revenues your your app will generate or you need to present this info to potential investors? | |
