resellers creating resellers
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

i was looking at one companies white label program, and as a reseller, i have the option to create other resellers. not only can i solicit business/organizations i can also sell the "opportunity" for other people to start their own mobile marketing business through my platform that i already am a reseller on.

does anybody use this model? do you find it effective? if you are a reseller for Avid or Lime and you solicit other entrenpreneurs/marketers to become a reseller of your company, do you keep the parent company (Avid/Lime) anonymous? if you like sales and have sales in your blood and you believe in a service like sms/mobile marketing, i think you can be successful selling to business/organizations and other entrenpeneurs.

i ask myself why would a reseller come under me when they can, with enough research, look into a lime or avid or trumpia...and i can only come up with one factor...price. to buy into to one of those companies its gona cost you thousands to start up your company right over the course of the year.

thoughts?

I use that model for my business. We have developed this online food ordering system, and we offer white label program to other people who want to build their business by selling either directly to other restaurants, OR offering a white label solution to their white label partners.

We are taking care of all technology and development of new features, and when we release something new - they all get the latest updates.

In online food ordering business, I think we are the only ones that are truly 100% white label solution, with having an option to resell our solution to other resellers.

Are you interested in starting a business like that?

I'm not sure how it would work as Lime/Avid or other companies as well would need to contact your reseller should they not be in compliance with certain TCPA / CTIA regulations. If they contact your client, who would they reach out as?

Seems a bit tricky in that sense, and that's a lot of blind trust which would be put into the initial reseller to communicate such important messages to this additional reseller layer.

That is what enom.com did and they grew huge. They had a huge deposit requirement to get the best price and allowed them to set up resellers under them. you might pay $1 more per domain, but no large cash outlaw

This also allows a company to deal with the big dogs and lets them deal with the little fish. I owned a vending business and I could buy cans of soda cheaper from Sam's than straight from coke. Sam's bought by the trailer load and I bought by the case. Coke preferred to deal with Sam's

Hello Roscoe4,

By enabling people to become resellers under you are expanding your ability to make money. With AvidMobile the parent company (Avid) is kept anonymous. This means Avid's organizational level resellers can market and resell to resellers using their own branding and pricing.

When it comes to selling to a reseller I have seen a variety of people who have experienced success selling specifically radio stations and franchises. With radio the station will turn around and resell it to their sister station. While they may operate under the same umbrella each station runs as its own business and a portion of profits goes to the parent company. The same is true with the franchise model.

I wish you the best of luck in your endevors!
