This is pretty self explanatory. You get mobile app traffic from mobile apps, that mobile users have downloaded from app store and installed in their phones. Mobile web traffic is traffic from any website that is accessed via mobile phone. The website itself may or may even not be optimized for mobile device. Read the mobile ad network TOS or ask them directly how they send traffic. You get FREE mobile web traffic just like you get FREE web traffic. The only difference is, the visitor is using a mobile to browse the website. |

As Star Man said. You can get both types of traffic from some ad networks, and some specialise in on type of traffic only. For example Admob do app traffic only, whereas someone like Admoda do mobile web and app (though from my experience they seem to have a lot more mobile web traffic). What is it you're promoting? Do you need traffic from apps or mobile web only for a particular reason? |

Some mobile networks send both kinds (in app and web) and allow you to separate them. I recommend separating both into two different campaigns. Not all mobile networks have in app traffic some may just mobile web traffic. | |
