Heres what happens to the prospect. Say for instance your selling just Google Places and Web site optimization to your client. What you want to do is hand them a copy of an already signed contract that has the business name, address, and phone number blocked out. You only want the SIGNATURE line to show, preferably a client who has a messy signature so its hard to read but is REAL. This way you protect your clients privacy of course.
THE KICKER: Make sure to always hand them a contract from a client whos contract with you for MORE services then your pitching so they see that some one else bought other services from you. The spaces before the names service is for client INITIALS.
What happens is the keep up with the Jones factor kicks in and they almost ALWAYS ask you, Hey! Whats this about Squareberry and a Custom Facebook business fan page all about? You only talked about Google Places and my web site, can you explain more about these other things?
So now that you are already at the close and they are going to sign you dont have to go into a HUGE spiel about what they are. You just briefly explain the benefits of the ones they ask about and just say, shall WE add those as well?
They sell themselves the UP SELL! = )
