Pricing Structure help
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

My company has just started a Text messaging notification service. We get the texts for about 2 cents.

Question #1: How would you guys recommend we price the service in accordance to amount of texts to offer and at what price?

Question #2: Should we offer a monthly service or per text/non contract service?

Thanks in Advance.

I have seen a lot of similar questions on here and there is a lot of different ways to to go about it.
My recommendation would be to charge for a group of messages at a per text rate ie 500 messages at 10 cents a message = $50. The reason I use this method is I'm paid for 500 messages even if they only use say 200 messages and I am only charged for what I used through my provider.
I currently have a lot of success with only doing a month to month service for my customers but I really am debating switching to a contractual basis. Really been contemplating doing a 6 and 12 month agreement after the first month to see what happens to my sales. You might want to look back at some of the older posts and see what the other suggestions are because I have seen a lot of good input on this topic.
At any rate good luck,
b

Flowbee,

A couple of thoughts for you. Look at charging your clients Flat rates for a bundle. In our case we charge between $197 and $497 for the first 3000 Texts the customer blasts out. We also charge $10 extra per additional campaign per month and some people are charging a set up fee.

Then set up the billing based on overage over the text bundle for the month, like 2.5 cents per text on overage. This allows you to---

Have Huge Flexibility
Give you Clients Amazing Results
Focus in on ROI for clients
Simplify your system
Create Multiple Custom Campaigns for clients
The List is ENDLESS...

Clients are buying YOU and RESULTS, not products or systems. In addition you want
to get really good at Speaking Business Owner Language.

To Your Continued Success,

Thanks Brash,
Your information actually helped a lot. I am a newbie when it comes to SMS pricing.
