Help Me Brainstorm Ideas For Courier Service Client
Share on:

I have a very promising potential client (delivery/courier) in a major city, with locations in many other cities as well interested in a mobile site and various uses of qr codes for his business. Help me brainstorm some ideas to present to him, if you would. Thanks

I have a few ideas. I was shown this site tag.microsoft.com that has a QR code that really isn't a QR code. QR codes are BnW, which I am not a fan of, but the Microsoft Tag is color and you can brand your logo. Now, I didn't find that site, but what I am thinking is that since it's brandable (see my brand at the bottom in the Tag) you can treat this like a "Fight Club", or "12 Monkeys" sort of idea. That one branded code can apply to all of the locations. Also, think about incorporating a Social Media control panel to help connect all of the locations together.

QR codes do not have to be black and white and you can definitely brand them to suit your business. I don't like the look of those Microsoft tags - in my opinion they look a bit messy and unprofessional.

For some examples of customized QR codes you can have a look through this thread:

I've been trying to come up with some good ideas on how to use qr codes/mobile for delivery also. It was my previous occupation and I have a lot of experience in it but have yet to figure out a useful application for them. Maybe we can brainstorm because I would love to tap into that market in my area.
Some of the most important things to a courier company and their customers are:
proof of pickup and delivery
tracking
signatures
security of materials
eta of courier p & d
correct addresses
updated directions
correct quantity of items being p & d
shipping paperwork matches items that are to be p & d
inventory if being held at a station
destination change during transit
payment on delivery

anyone want to chime in ? I know qrs were meant for inventory that could be an angle if they don't have a system in place but I'm sure they do, otherwise you've hit the motherlode
