I just listened watched/listened to a webinar that Holly Cotter put on talking about earning affiliate income via mobile apps. Essentailly her pitch was using apps the same way affiate marketers have used niche affiliate sites.

So I can see somone using a niche app if the content is updated and there are continuous ways of interacting, but do people really buy that much through their phone? Are they going to click on an affiliate link, go to a mobile website, pull out their credit card and buy? Or will they visit that site later from their pc and buy, nullifying the affiliate commission? I can possibly see someone buying from a tablet (ipad). I can also see people filling out a form and the affiliate getting a CPA commission. I'm just not sure how well app affiliate marketing will go over. What are your thoughts...?

I know this is an old thread, but for anyone that may find it. Getting started in mobile app marketing is basically following the overall outline of web based affiliate marketing, but with mobile apps you will be able to engage your target audience like never before, because your content is with them 24-7...

Mobile is probably one of the best mediums for engagement that has been ever seen.

If you focus on providing great value and getting your app downloaded you will be making money very fast. Then you can work on finding new niches and growing your business.

Also with apps you can send push notifications witch have about a 98% open rate. If you could get a 98% open rate with email marketing you would be a god, have statues carved to your likeness and be worshiped by unknown amazonian tribes.
