How do I work this whole mobile business? I mean like if they already have a website, how will I be able to create a mobile one? They already had someone else who holds the access to their websites and domains. Should i just create the site on a new domain like BusinessNameMobile.com or MobileBusinessName.com or what? do I set up a mobile directory? hmmm? |

You can host the site, as well as several others on a sub-domain of your own, and have a redirect script installed on their domain that leads to your "mobile" version of the site. I think that would work best though for working on/modifying a site that will eventually be hosted with their regular host, on a sub-domain like m.clientsite.com, or even a .mobi. (which will still require a re-direct) I think it also depends on your business model - ie., if you want to host the sites and charge them monthly, or if you want to do the site for them and remain their mobile web consultant. -Michael |
