.mobi gold rush?
Share on:

So I'm using Google KW Tool and limiting search to all mobile devices. I am coming up with some seriously juicy key-words and actually finding the .mobi for them, though not the .com/.net/.org.

I'm thinking it would be a good idea just to buy them all up; create just mobile affiliate sites and run with it, especially given the healthy mobile search numbers and low competition.

Yet, I am a relative newbie and this seems too good to be true.
Am I missing something here?

Whether you like it or not consumers relate .mobi to mobile phones and in the end it is not the extension but the content that will determine if it is profitable.

Big companies seem to be using the subdomain m. (eg. m.facebook.com) so it doesn't seem necessary to have s separate domain.

Do the .mobi domains even get indexed in the Google SERPs?

I agree with you on the m.domain.com trend. it is the most practical and it saves us some $$

I agree, I see "m." sub-domains a lot more then .mobi.
