This is something I've been thinking about too. I'm really not sure how to monetize apps, although recently I was in talks with a guy who releases sports apps almost turnkey, which are generated from feeds and he gets money from Admob, in-app advertising. I was thinking of doing a similar thing with Wordpress websites which pull in their content from third parties (like WPRobot or the video version) and then they monetize it with advertising. Another thing you can do is sign up to the affiliate scheme for iTunes and if you have a few apps you could cross-promote them via the affiliate scheme. The one thing I would like to know is whether it is possible to create products, like WSOs for iPhone, or create apps that use/integrate with Clickbank. I'm not sure exactly how it'd work, but if someone out there has done such a thing then I would be interested in finding out how you did it. Thanks |

Depending on how your app is formatted, the key thing is to apply advertising where user engagement is high but negative experience is minimized. We've found that providing an advanced interstitial (unlocker) in between levels of a game app or at the launch of a productivity app has created an average $6-7 eCPM for app publishers. Also keep in mind, mobile advertisers don't like paying out high rates for just impressions as the chance of that traffic converting for them is quite low. As a result, they are willing to pay out significantly higher rates for performance-based traffic (clicks, app installs, lead acquisition, etc.). Would be happy to answer any other questions related to app monetization. | |

I was reading this article: How To Create Profitable CPA Apps - Get Passive Income ยป Get Passive Income He builds an app for a Clickbank product and uses the iOS app to capture leads, and he uses a tool called BuzzTouch to make the apps. I believe (although I am not sure) "mobile monopoly" implies a similar strategy where the content comes from CB and is repurposed as an iPhone app? Although I can do the app building myself, what I'm stuck on is how he makes the money because it just appears to be a "funnel" to capture emails and not specifically selling, distributing or delivering an actual product to the user via their device. I am interested in how CB products (or other products) can be uniquely honed to be delivered for mobile, perhaps as in-app purchases or something equally similar. Thanks. |

You can integrate API/SDK from some mobile ad networks to get ads. Some good mobile networks are admob, inmobi, adiquity, smaato, iAd.
