Ok, so you have a new Restaurant or Bar client and you're ready to start setting up their first campaign. I've heard ideas here and there like put little cards on the tables with a text to receive a free desert etc. I saw this on a site called Restaurant Commando - * Have enough food and staff to serve any increase in business * Don’t go with it unless you can at least break even on every check (because if you’re losing money, you can’t make it up on volume; any repeat business is the gravy) * Train your staff to handle the “moochers” just like your best customers (to minimize the risk of getting bad reviews on Yelp, UrbanSpoon and other review sites) * Train them how to do upsells and how to collect customer contact information table-side (to have a chance to follow up with them and invite them back) * Get first-time guests on your email newsletter * Enroll them in your VIP Club or Birthday Club * Have a follow up / bounce back campaign thought out and in place to bring the new guests back in We're all trying to get new clients, but what are some of the key strategies to really help our clients so they will be profitable and continue to give us their business? Is their a guide with all the tips and strategies for helping a restaurant or nightclub run a successful mobile marketing campaign? I saw this on another site, ideas for nightclubs - – Announcing DJ nights, live events, or other themed nights – Joining your VIP Club – Reserve a table – Order Bottle service – Mobile-only specials, free/reduced admission and line jumping privileges – Holding contests and giveaways – Promoting happy hour or drink specials – Texting staff to fill open waiter/waitress and bartender time slots I don't just want to sell my clients a mobile marketing package. I want to be like a partner and help them run truly successful campaigns. If there is no guide on all the tricks and methods to use for successful mobile campaigns, maybe we could all start posting ideas on this thread? |

I just picked up a book called "Likeable Social Media" (How to Delight Your Customers) by Dave Kerpen. It's a pretty good resource and has some good ideas.

I actually interviewed Dave too on my video podcast foundville. Go to google and search for (foundville + likeable). He shares the story behind Likeable Media (his startup) and how he grew it to $4.7M in revenue. Good story. |

And Mobile Marketing is something they know virtually nothing about. Case in Point, one of my Prospects recently told me that he had heard about Mobile Marketing but thought it meant Signage on Moving Vehicles...SCARY! lol I am a firm believer in ALWAYS managing a clients Mobile Campaigns. One, it makes them much more successful and Second, it means that Attrition is reduced. Let them do it themselves and they will cancel within 30 to 60 Days...because they think it doesnt work. | |
