Here's a photo of the top of the site on my iphone 4

3 widgets show below that and the rest of the page looks pretty nice.

Cheers,

Steve

Thanks Steve. That's what I see on any desktop browser shrunk down (or on Android with FireFox). I'm hoping/thinking I'm OK on the newest devices.

I'm also hoping some warriors with older handheld devices will post what they can see (if anything).

Design question: how important do you think it is to (A) stack menu items/buttons one on top of the other like most mobile themes do or (B) to have the menu below the content?

Here's a screenshot from my phone showing the header and footer.

Samsung Galaxy S
Android 2.2.2
Default Browser

For the most part I prefer stacked menu buttons but I've been known to use icons which is somewhat similar to what you're doing.

In the end it depends on who'll be accessing your site. People who don't use mobile browsers regularly will benefit from the stacked navigation (will hopefully prevent the ham-fistedness most experience when getting use to mobile browsers).

That's a "non-standard" looking font on your phone...is that my doing somehow? Did I specify a non-mobile font perhaps? Or is that just your font?

Thanks for the image though. That really helps!

No, that's a font I specified when setting up my phone.
