I have 3 in mind: - Ipad 2 (cons: not expandable in memory; Pros: Apple hudge apps) - Samsung tab (cons not expandable, transfer files need samsung software; pro: light, design latest android os) - Eee transformer pad (cons: heavy, thick, app limited to android; Pro: extend battery life with optional keyboard, usb port, ext. memory, latest andoid os) Your choce! |

Apart from being a pleasure to use, an iPad also demonstrates to potential customers that Flash is BAAAAD for mobile sites! |

I'm sure if we knew more of what you want to do with a tablet we'd be able to give better recommendations.

Ex: I have my office at L.A and going to NYC for a week or less for business, what kind of tablet should I get so I can do same work (or almost) as I was in my office, with customers (demo web things) and enjoy multimedia stuff at night (music, video...) in hotel room. | |

I have a MacBook Pro and an iPad and love them both. I have been a long time PC guy and am clumsy with the mac's but I travel in to Switzerland and spend a couple weeks at a time and mostly take the MacBook Pro. I am exploring the keyboard options for the iPad but don't like not being able to access DVD's and CD's. This will become less of a deal as time goes by for me I am sure. I don't like having to save programs to USB or downloading them when I want them. Good luck in your decision and I am anxious to see what others have to say. Enterpryzman |

I use a Acer Iconia Tab AS 500 and a Samsung Galaxy 500 2s and can accomplish almost of what I do in my office but still need to jump on a PC here and there for some things. I can use my Galaxy as a hot spot if no free wifi around so have connectivity pretty well all the time. Apple stuff is also very good however I like to see flash on customers sites etc if needed and hate being forced to use itunes. Quentin |

I'm for the Samsung Galaxy Tab! Samsung has redefined technology nowadays. With every improvement and innovations they've brought us, I'm down for Samsungs' tablet line up! Kudos! |

I've been looking at these as well for the same reason. I want to get myself a christmas present and also a celebratory gift for having the best IM year so far and so far I'm leaning toward an android tablet. I haven't narrowed it down yet but I know that I want one more than an Ipad for the reasons of flash as well as the fact that I love google apps and they're so much better on android.

"TAKE ACTION" is the first thing everyone tells you and then they leave it at that. I'll add a second part: TRACK EVERYTHING" - It's the only way to ensure your ACTION leads to results.

I know that a quad core asus transformer is launching on dec 14. So might be a great choice, anyway what I'm sure, exit the ipad 2! The iconia tag was also 1 of my choice but reading reviews, I heard most about galaxy tab, transformer, xoom.

I use a small Droid phone. It's not the best one out there; it's not even the best one I own. But it does have a small screen, which makes it ideal for demonstrating the problems most websites have when viewed on a typical phone.

Get a used iPad first generation. eBay has a ton right now, and you can find some min condition ones for a steal if you poke around.

Go with the Asus Transformer Prime and do get the keyboard dock. It's great for travel. When you are seeing clients you can just use the tablet then when you go back to the hotel or are on a plane you can use the keyboard dock and get more juice. I love that tablet. I also use my Droid 3 for demonstrating how a businesses site looks on a phone. |

For productivity, I vote for Touchpad, or a Ultrabook, or Apple Air.

I have a Motorola Xoom tablet. I still use it in tandem with a small laptop. I can do quite a lot with the tablet. But, I still need to use a laptop for certain things like coding websites or creating Powerpoint presentations. Also, I don't always like the mobile browser environment for certain tasks. I do use the Dolphin browser app which you can toggle from mobile browser to desktop browser viewing. For writing correspondence, I use Google Docs. This works pretty well. I find the tablet really good for entertainment. I use it to watch Netflix, read books, listen to music.
