| Chart: How Google And Apple Won The Smartphone Wars | TechCrunch Apple’s and Google’s combined market share of U.S. mobile subscribers for iPhones and Android phones went from 43.8 percent to 75.6 percent between August, 2010 and November, 2011. The old numbers were 19% for apple and 40% for Android. That would essentially give Android in excess of a estimated 50% Market Share under the new numbers. | |

Good point - I should have added they discuss this very thing in the comments... "When you drill down further, almost all of these gains went to Android, which added 27.3 points of market share versus a more modest 4.5 points for Apple. " Then why combine them? |

I use both the iPhone and Blackberry. I must say I like them both for different tasks. Overall, Apple iPhone and Apple products in general our better now and for the future because of long term sustainability. It is my prediction that blackberry will be brought out very soon because of patents they hold. The BB platform will not be around in five years or even 3 years as fast as the world is moving now. |

It essentially shows the growth of Smartphone market penetration. While SMS Marketing works with all cellphones, an increased number of Smartphone users means more usability of Mobile Websites, QR Codes, and Mobile Apps. In other words it makes Mobile Marketing Services that much more effective. |
