Are there any mobile simulators out there that don't have ads or aff links on them? If possible, I'd like to build a demo web page with my own simulator that I could send a prospect to, in case they don't have a smartphone to test it on. Thanks all... |

Iphone tester will work fine for this. http://iphonetester.com/?url=http://...rriorforum.com Just swap out warriorforum.com for whatever the url is you want to show them. If you want to go one step further then you could just iframe it in a page on your website so it looks like it is part of your domain. It's got very minimal advertising. I've never heard anyone have any issues with it. |

Simple. 1. Create a new folder on your domain and call it the same name as the business you are approaching. So it might be something like yourwebsite.com/joes_pizzeria 2. Open up a blank text document using a program such as notepad and paste the following code into the blank document: <title>Joe's Pizzeria Mobile Site</title> <iframe src="http://iphonetester.com/?url=http://www.warriorforum.com" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" height="100%" width="100%"></iframe> ** Change the title to match that of the business name. Change the url from http://www.warriorforum.com to the url of the mobile site you are wanting to display in the simulator. 3. Save the text document as index.html and then upload it into the folder. Now when you go to yourwebsite.com/joes_pizzeria you will see the iphone tester with the mobile website inside it. **UPDATE** To make things easier I have attached the index.txt file to this post. Simply download the file below, make the changes to the code in a text editing program, and then make sure to rename it from index.txt to index.html. Then upload it into the folder on your server. . |

Thanks, Will, And I thought I was going to have to buy a program. I'm not sure I completely understand the instructions about creating a folder on my domain (I use GoDaddy) and about saving the text document as html (I downloaded your file, openend it in notepad and tried to save as but the only two options are .txt and All Files and about uploading the html to the folder I'm really, really, really, new to all of this stuff. But I'm determined! I'll eventually figure it all out. But I need to be making money while I'm trying to figure it out. Thanks again, Mike |

Great Idea! Curious why you would do this vs. say just sending the prospect a screenshot of what their site looks like on a mobile device...Thoughts???

Here is how I do it in my Wordpress site. TweakingWP.com/my-mobile-site And this is very easily customizable in HTML you can duplicate this file and create one for each prospect. All you have to do is change the code for the default mobile site URL. Or you could remove the section to enter your mobile site so it stays permanently with the mobile site you enter ( your prospects mobile site). PM me if you have any questions. If you need an image only mobilizer works beautifully. |
Newbies PM me if you need simple answers to simple questions. Don't waste too much time figuring things out (being lost) when all you have to do is ask for directions. TweakingWP.com | |
