Howdy folks....I'm "thinking" about making a Directory of Mobile Sites for my Town and am wondering what YOU folks think is the Domain I should use; 1) MobiRoseburg.com 2) MobilRoseburg.com 3) MobileRoseburg.com #1 has the least letters but....maybe the "average" consumer would get the word "MOBI" confused with something other than "Mobile Phones". #2 could suggest to consumers that this is part of "MOBIL OIL". #3 has the most letters but...would consumers get "MOBILE" confused with "Motorcycles" or "Motorized Vehicles" or something NOT having to do with "Mobile-Ready Websites"? I'd appreciate your response. Thanks much, Don Alm in Roseburg, Oregon |

Personally I would concentrate on just ONE industry -- make it much more specific so people know exactly what they can expect on that domain. I know you love dealing with restaurants and the like Don so personally I would be getting a domain such as: RoseburgRestaurantGuide.mobi or RoseburgRestaurants.mobi or RoseburgBarGuide.mobi The difference between the domains you suggested and the ones above is huge. People would know exactly what to expect and the advantage they are going to get from visiting that website. Yours I feel are way too vague and wouldn't really inspire me to visit. |
