I had a massive brain fart yesterday morning. The ideas were just pouring out of my head and I discussed them with my wife and mother and they both thought it was a solid plan. Here is the down side.... I have purchased the domain and hosting ($50) but the actual software is going to run me about $500 and it doesn't support the language I want. Then I have to pay a developer for the app... that is going to be about $500 .... So would you throw a $1000 at an idea that may or may not work? To put that in perspective... $1000 is 10 months I have to save up for. |

Without knowing the idea it's very hard to say. Some risks are worth taking, others not. If the idea is not a guaranteed success story (very few are) then you should only go ahead if you can afford to lose that $1,000 -- that's the worst that can happen right. So if you are ok with that then by all means, go for it. Most people who become successful have had to put their balls on the line at some stage or another. |

It would be a wild guess that most people have multiple idea's but as mentioned very few people have the aggots to stick with it and make it happen. Those same people probably chase golden rainbows every day as well. | |

thanks guys, I am certainly acting on this one. It is just that $1000 hump that scares me. The vBulletin software is $300 and then I have to add the mobile suite which is another $200. That is where it hurts. I don't mind paying for the app but VB ... ohhh I think I have to find a work around on that one... |

Hello Planet, Good job on the brain fart... i have them regularly but it only makes sense if you follow up on them. So if you have the time, courage and understanding then sure make the investment. It is a lifetime license, so you're good for a while :-) I did the same about 8 months ago... Invested 1300$ to become a founding member of uQast, knowingly that i could do nothing with it for the first year, since i am finishing building my house. But when the house is finished i plan to integrate uQast in my future endeavors. I fully understand and respect "non-disclosure agreements" so if you first wanna chat to me about it, then pm me or find Peter Sleeckx on facebook. Or talk to other marketers in your region (but not in your market) to see what they are implementing to reach your goal. Wish you all the best ! Peter I wish you lots of success |

good news. I got the domains. Then after a lot of research I went with PhPBB which is free! They also have a mobile plug in which is not so slick but it works. So now all I have to do is save the $$ for the plug in. |
