Will mobile marketing be the next big thing? We cannot tell the future for certain, but it definitely has the potential to be nearly unimaginably huge.

| Definitely! Everyone is on the go and accessing the internet from their phone/tablet. Whether we are looking for a restaurant to eat at or someone to fix our car, we turn to our phones because it is more convenient than pulling out our laptops or booting our computer! |

Mobile is the way of the future. I still see a huge need for PCs that mobile won't be able to fill for a long while yet. For marketers, the key is how to make the user experience work on mobile. |

I just started dabbling in mobile traffic and found that if you can get shorter forms to capture leads/CPA ... your conversion rate will be very high and the quality is just as good as web traffic. I also get paid the same from mobile traffic compared to web traffic as the quality is just as good. If anyone knows some extra mobile traffic sources besides adwords and bing let me know, I'm all ears as I'm killing it with my CPA deals at the moment, especially around xmas. But any questions just let me know happy to help out if needed. Best, Nick |

I do think that mobile marketing will be huge. What is it that most people have attached to their waist, a cell phone, and if their not at home surfing the web on their laptop their surfing it from their cell phone while away from the house. More and more business is done on a mobile device now, more than ever, will it take the place of laptop and such, doubtful but will see.

Since the first time of Internet technology, PC was the biggest way to look through the world. After that, the laptop appearance got the 1st position in human communication. In the early of 21st century we beheld the spectacular breakthrough of tablet and come with it was smart phone. And absolutely that "mobile marketing" will be the next big thing in this century. |

The last figures that I read show that of the 1.3 billion people using Facebook, 65% are accessing their accounts via mobile devices. If you are marketing on any of the social media sites you need to make sure that your ads and other marketing vehicles are mobile accessible, or you will be leaving a lot of money on the table.

I don't think mobile phones is the big thing, when look at Black Friday sales report Tablets and iPads were on top 3 and smartphones weren't even on top 10 So I will be more focus on responsive development than pure mobile website. |

Well. What I can tell you is that during this thanksgiving 53% of walmart's traffic resulted from mobile devices, 25% of its online sales also came from mobile devices. From this data we can see that the conversion rate is not so good but the traffic is increasing. My firm's website receives 50,000 ip everyday and it makes no difference after we have the mobile site. So, we don't think a mobile site is necssary. Or if we really need to improve the browsing experience from mobile devices we could just change the template of a website instead of building a new website. |

Mobile marketing is here and it's a powerful marketing tool. Marketers are just tapping into the power of this this marketing tool. Mobile marketing will be a big thing for marketers. Never before with any marketing mediums has their been the opportunity to place marketing message directly into the hands of a consumer at any given time. Mobile has made this possible and has changed the game for companies. Marketing has always had the marketing mix (price, product, promotion, and place) and this will be apart of marketing until the end of time. Mobile has created a new opportunity for the marketing mix and allows you to provide the mix directly to the consumer at the opportune time. As your consumer enters the purchase cycle products and services can now be presented to the consumer right before the purchase and in turn impact the consumers purchase decision. Mobile marketing will become the norm when it comes to companies and their marketing plans. There is a vast opportunity here and it is something incorporate into any business! |

I completely agree...but when you are selling mobile sites it is still a hassle to make business owners completely understand the power of it.

No one interacts with anyone anymore they are glued to their phone so of course it will be the next big thing. 25 million people used their mobile devices for shopping on cyber Monday. There are great for shopping but from a marketers stand point it is hard to cut paste ads, for now it is much easier to use your PC for that.

Mobile is definitely the next big thing and the markets here in Asia are definitely heating up. It's now a matter of finding ways for smaller start ups to stand out from the crowd. I know start-ups here in Asia are looking into ways to making the most of localized/smaller markets.

I believe the numbers speak for themselves (statistics taken from various research articles, representative of the US market): 1. Increase in web traffic through mobile devices = 100% from Q1 2012 to Q1 2013 2. Total sales impact from mobile marketing: 2010: $48 Billion 2013: $205 Billion 2015: Projected to be $401 Billion (that's over 120% increase year-over-year) 3. Ad spending on mobile marketing is increasing at the same rate as the sales impact (about 120% per year). And yes, we are at the edge of people accessing the internet through mobile devices outnumbering access through a desktop. |

I will say that it's no more the future but the past, especially when we think of mobile website and SMS. I know that some won't agree with me, but this is true! Here is why: Yes more and more people are using their smart phones but do you know what for? Well not really browsing a mobile website but simply the Internet, a full site is fine and even better than mobile version because smartphone screens are wider than before, mobile Internet speed is super fast, and it has full features. They don't mind zooming in/out that is common now when people browse the Internet. When you see how people really use their mobile phone well they like apps (games, utilities, social, email...) first and phone calls then the Internet browsing at the bottom of the list. So don't get me wrong on the mobile marketing sales pitch that most other marketers will tell you. Having a regular desktop site is really not the business owner's nightmare as far as it can be seen in Tablets and mobiles. Responsive will be better but not a big deal. Mobile sites are sites that are trendy. |

However, as marketers, we need to know how to take advantage of this. Why? Because people will surf, check emails and post status updates using mobile. But when it comes to buying something online, most will postpone it until they are on their PC. So you just have to figure out how to incorporate that knowledge into your marketing. Things like dating and games will surely be a big mobile thing with time. | |

If you read all my latest post here I did not really end 2013 with my goal with mobile website. I'm skeptical but I want to change this so I will say: 2014 is the mobile year. I will put huge effort on it. |
