Hey fellow warriors.. I am hoping someone has ran into this situation before and is willing to share their experience. I have a customer with a website built with ASP pages. I have redirect scripts that work on html and php pages. Anyone have a solution you can point me to for sites on ASP? Any developers that would be willing to take on this project for a fee?

It depends what type of redirect script you are using. I would think if the redirect script you are using does not work on ASP pages then you would probably need to use an htaccess redirect or php redirect. The advantage of those types is that they occur on the server side so that anyone accessing any of your pages will be redirected... the code doesn't execute inside the individual pages so it shouldn't then make a difference what file extension your pages are. A good and cheap php redirection script I can recommend is this one: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-1-0-free.html |

Some hostings with ASP support may not be built on an Apache server and may not support PHP. In that case, .htaccess or PHP redirects will not work. You can use either ASP redirect scripts or JavaScript redirect. You can find redirection scripts of all kinds on the following site: http://detectmobilebrowsers.com/ another ASP redirection script: http://51degrees.codeplex.com/ You may need to do some modifications depending on your case. Also, here are some ASP detection/redirection tutorials from my bookmarks: http://mobiforge.com/developing/stor...-detection-asp http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/...irection-Devel |
