I know how to create a custom app icon for my mobile site, by going to the "ad to home page" tab on my iPhone, iPod, or iPad. But I want to sell this service where an app goes to the events page on a mobile site for a restaurant. Is there a way to create an app that is downloadable on an iPhone and it will create an icon that when launched will go to the events URL? I just think it is tedious to require customers to use the "ad to home page" tab. What I would love is a download link on this events page that allows iPhone users to down load the app onto their home page. Is this possible? |

Yes! the user needs simplified versions to use and i think the simpler the method to download the better it would be.

In line with what Will is saying, a better question would be can you create a link on your mobile website that saves the site to your homescreen? (Instead of the usual way) Would love to know if this is possible. |
