I sent my emails and the wait begins, i haven't done any services, purely affiliate marketing so like, when i get a response and land a client how do the "technicals" happen? do i then ask the client to look for thier webhost and login? how do i even say this to someone who just buys a service? or even someone that just totally bought a site from a seo/web company? basically what do i expect and what can i face trying to get cpanel access? is there another way to "get in there"? besides cpanel? i mean yes i've had my own webhost for years, and i can nav around it just fine, it's just that now i'll have to deal with other ppl's web and stuff and i don't know whats out there. is cpanel the defacto standard for every webhost now? thanks for the replies, i'm just trying to quell some worries, is there a wso i can buy for this too? i'm basically shooting in the dark lol. |

I know I'm probably stating the obvious but you're much better off spending a week or so just reading through the Offline Forum and the Mobile Marketing Forum to get a basic understanding of the area of business you're inquiring about. From the way you've blasted these questions, it seems like you just woke up and are fire hosing anyone who'll listen with incoherent questions about how to start a business of some kind. If you approached any business with this scatter shot type of energy, it would scare them away instantly. It'll be ok just slow down a bit |

i'm trying the get leads now approach, i can already make a mobile web for em, just don't know how that whole interaction will with the different varities of webhosts, for now i'm starting off with simple paypal subscription i setup on my "business site" or they can send a check, heck it's local i might even just pick it up, and i'll give em an invoice through some web service. just wondering how people have to deal with asking clients for their cpanel |

Exactly what you just said. Ask them for their login information. How else do you expect to get in? State in your contract, they will need to supply credentials for you to access their site. Anytime we transfer a customer from another host, the customer must supply credentials for us to access their account. It would also be a good idea to look into some invoicing software such as Freshbooks, Harvest or you can even use WHMCS for this sort of thing. |

bloody hell, you seem to know nothing about how this business works at all.. i wouldn't want to buy a mobile site from you that's for sure! Buy from one of your competitors and see how they do things! |
