Yes but keep it modest, not all networks are ready for sites with a lot of images, and always try to optimize them for quick loading, you can do that easily in photoshop.

Of course. I design with a stretch to fit model. No less than 320 pixels wide for a full screen view (in portrait position). Be careful on size, you don't want the viewer to wait too long!

Adding images is part of any good design for mobile websites these days. If you have images around the 200 px quite often you wont need to stretch and fit. I use a program called infranview to crunch down u graphics. Try not to have a graphic over 20kb and better if around the 10KB Quentin |

Remember the on thing I always tend to forget. Many customers are on limited data plans. Images jack up the size of the site and the usage costs for the consumer. They also can slow load times significantly. Which neither customers or Google like. Dan |

It depends on the design of your mobile site. The max screen width should be around the 320 pixel mark. If you have padding around your content and your images don't stretch and shrink then obviously you will need to play around and find out what maximum width works best for your design.

What everyone else said. I would simply add that it would be a mistake not to add a picture of some sort. You need that logo/branding aspect, or the client might not think you are on top of your game. I know...there are speed issues. But it can be done.
