mobile sites for commerce

Anyone tell me how to add ecommerce or a shopping cart to the mobile website. I have purchased both Will and Quentin's system and neither are or seem to be shopping friendly.

That is going to depend largely upon the method of payment processing.

If you are using PayPal or a real Merchant Account etc...are going to be factors.

We are def going to need more information...

Just simple paypal for now... I want to add to my own mobile site IM2SEXY4MYFEET.COM and afterwards to potential clients.

If you are using PayPal just use the code snippets for "Buy" Buttons. just like your would for a regular Website.

Shopping carts will look to cramped on a Cell.

I've seen 1shoppingcart being used for direct purchases from mobile websites - I think that once direct to mobile bill payment becomes more affordable for website owners, then this payment method will really take off.

Creating a mobile site for your online store is definitely a good idea. Today, most people use smart phones to shop online. What you can do is create your mobile commerce site using cart shopping software.

Plenty of the commerce solutions are going mobile. Just a couple of examples are Paypal and Clickbank. They both have iphone friendly checkout pages now and are a breeze to use on your iPhone.

Pretty robust and secure systems, I've built some sexy looking m-commerce using these bad boys. It's all free too but you will need some programming experience or at least the patience and ability to google the solutions youre looking for.

You better look for a shopping carts that have modules for mobile optimization.I don't think you will find anything free, with great support, updates and a lot of options(i haven't) so you better opt for a paid one within your budget.
I just finished my first e-commerce mobile project and I must say, there is a lot to work with the code and customizing it takes plenty hours.I don't know if I will include it on my services list on WF as I don't know if someone will pay what my custom work worth even if they can sell it to the business owners with couple thousand dollars.
It's a learning process all the way as clients will request different things every time and we must try to do what they ask, or at least close to it

just to satisfy them.
Good luck finding the right system for your e-commerce clients.
