Default Trey Smith's "Mobile Game System"

I just watched his 15 minute video that was probably actually 30 minutes but anyways, he gave an entire schbiel on how mobile is the latest and greatest thing. I went into this thinking it would not be a sales pitch. Of course it was. $497 for his new course.

Anyways, my question is, has anyone heard anything about it and would it be worth the investment?

Basically learn how to make mobile websites then approach businesses. Set your self up a website to direct people to with all your services.

Just saved you $497

Systems are great however as we have seen recently there were a lot of people who were selling Facebook Systems which are now useless as they do not work with timelines.

Always check out the systems to see if they are viable and if any say the customer will come to you run my friend.

You're exactly right. But that's not what his system is about and it also wasn't my question. But you are right, I am a consultant and we do make mobile websites and landing pages for lead capture for our clients.

Sorry Quentin and MoBuzz... Love you both but I must disagree. Trey Smith doesn't make mobile websites... he makes iphone apps (games) and now he is also doing some for the android market. He trys to teach people how to make money on these by doing some free apps then with push marketing through the apps that are downloaded he sell's some additional levels to a game, etc. Oh and he does all that with no programming experience whatsoever... totally farming out all the programming and design work. I have read his stuff for quite some time and he seems like a pretty down to earth cat!

I have never bought into any of his programs... they are very pricey when one gets used to seeing the cheap prices on the WSO's on this forum. His latest is $497 which I would say is too expensive in comparison again but if you followed the program like many of the WSO's around here it would more than pay for itself... the problem is how Quentin do you get someone to actually put into practice what your teaching them. I'm sure you sir have scratched your head for hours and pondered that question... lol

Thanks for the clarification Adwizard.

This seems to be a great program for apps and I have been doing their training

Bizness Apps - Mobile Apps For Businesses Made Easy?

There was someone who was selling a course on how to use it for quite a lot of money but they give you all the training you need.

It amazes me how many people blow their money on "Systems"!

If you really want to spend your money THAT bad I can sell you access to our platform for 3X our normal Monthly rate and then include the training system for Free...That would be $297.00...You would save money, still get the training and actually have a platform to work with, and have $200 in your pocket to boot!

Will that be Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express Today?

You don't know it yet, but I just did you a HUGE favor!

I'll even throw in an "Easy Button"!

Actually Quentin, you are incorrect. It has nothing to do with making mobile websites. It IS however, a course that focuses on making apps for android and iphone, specifically games. I actually do work for the "secret headquarters" group. The Dude is the real thing and his product is worth way more than the current asking price. Hey aaronhoug, I applaud your due diligence and would recommend you google him. Should give you more than enough research to make a decision.

trey smith is specialist in outsourcing programming.

He created a product called "the software system" showing you how to find good programmer and designer and how to talk to them and telling them what you want from them in easy way.

He created another one called "the iPhone system" is a little bit similar to "the software system" but is more extended about how to hire programmers and designers that have high talented programming skills with low price and much more.

The last one "Mobile Game System" There's no sales page for this product, just the video. It is an upsell from a DVD he's selling for $6 called the Jump Pack Story - How I Created a $40,000 business from a Video Game. There are 5 training modules of over 35 videos and the source code to 5 mobile games he's made.

* Module 1 - Ideas for your New Game

Setting up with Google Android
Outsourcing ALL of the technical stuff

* Module 5 - Sneaky Tricks

Here's a breakdown of the game source codes:

* Source Code #1

* Source Code #2
Space Blast for iOS in Cocos2d

* Source Code #3
Space Blast for Android

* Source Code #4
Lightstrobe for iOS

* Source Code #5

If you are interested in Mobile Games; this is for you because it worth more than x10 the price. But if are not interested in spending extra money probably another $1000 or more this is not for you.

Trey Smith is a very successful businessman and a great salesman. He happens to have made it in the Apps Game market - highly competitive! Most iphone games sink from day one because of the sheer number of games added daily. He highlights the importance of marketing - nothing new there. His first game Kolo, was created for about $1700 using a freelancer on oDesk. The guy is now one of Treys employees full time. Sorry folks!
I've listened to a few of his videos on youtube free! I did learn a lot. But you still have to come up with a new idea and a ton of publicity and marketing. He comes across as a very likeable dude, into music and vinyl records. He also happens to be a damn clever entrepreneur. I think he'd make it if he was selling ice to the Inuit people!

Hey please don't get me wrong when it comes to Trey Smith. I have watched his stuff and think he is a great businessman too.

It was more that when you go into these things go in with your eyes open.

I have bought some great systems in the past and my advise was simply to check it out not that it was a bad system.

AAron I applaud for you for doing this and most will offer a refund if you have problems.

Make sure you put some time aside to really absorb the information.

Agree with Quentin,
thats a lot of cash! Try asking someone for $500 when you're down at heel.
There is so much FREE info available online - google anything and get a ton of info. Read the forums and blogs. Trey Smith made a million selling some software. That gave him great kudos and some more cash to invest in iphone games and stuff. he now sells his system too. But its like the guy who wins the lottery and says "hey guys! I wasn't lucky. I used a system. Wanna buy it? £400". He makes another million selling the business model that made the first million. But its just often law of averages. Most never make it. A few do. Ask a Drone Bee.
From what i've picked up, Marketing is Everything. You might have the best software, the best game ever. But without marketing and plenty of cash to pay a few top blogs to advertise your offerings, you're sunk man!
Good luck

The problem with a system like Trey's is that not everyone will make it. Meaning it's very hard to create an app that will be well received and make great sales. There is a LOT more to it than just creating the app. Sure, his course teaches you the best way to go about things but it's not likely every person who purchases that course will be able to build a successful app that matches his results.

There are so many free and legitimate source you can find if you knew how to Googling rightly.
PixelProspector is one of the site you need to go if you really want to develop a game.
About outsourcing the game, art, and music you need at least $25,000.
If you can't afford it, then you have several options:
1. Do programming and art by yourself, or at least do one of them by yourself. This will save you a lot.
2. Develop a simple game with doodle graphics, and royalti-free music.
3. Never enter a game market.

Keep in mind that the $497 is likely just the beginning. You said that you outsource the programming, which I'm assuming is done on sites like elance and odesk. For a game, you should count on a MINIMUM cost of $500 - $1,000 per app (minimum), plus your $99 Apple developer fee.

So, at the very lowest, you're in for at least $1,000 to make your first app, and it hasn't even been downloaded once. The app industry has changed a LOT in the last year or so, and you just can't expect the high downloads you used to get without a lot of exposure, which costs more money.

The ROI on apps can be huge, but the real money in apps, just as it is in mobile website sales, is in diversification and expansion. One app will likely not make you much, if any, profit. One mobile website will definitely make you a little profit. Fifty apps, fifty mobile website clients, etc, will very likely make you a good profit.

It is unwise to trust all you read on the internet.
