I've had reason to think about this lately and I haven't been able to think about anything else all last week.

Why? That market has a very dense population in each cell, doesn't it?

i have zero downtime i am in San Antonio, TX - i am on AT&T 4G LTE Network and its blisteringly fast! Thing is i don't think the iPhone 4 is compatible with the LTE ??? in comparison my Android is knocking out speeds around 24mb down and 15mb up which is far higher than any iphone4 that i have seen... and its faster than my high speed internet at home too!

Sorry, I am too busy helping people to think of a cool signature!

I am on Verizon... 4g icon on my phone sometimes just goes away for a few minutes, and it pisses me off when I'm in the middle of a Xbox game

I was considering giving up on Roadrunner here in Orlando and using Clear 4g instead. I mean for $50 a month how do you beat it? I ditched the local cable company a few months ago for a Roku box and I will never go back to cable.

That is true. But 4G is wireless so it has got the disadvantages of a wireless connection.

Here's a screesnhot showing just how fast my 4G LTE AT&T connection is on my Android Samsung Captivate S2 - the LTE makes it faster than your regular 4G so i am lead to believe.... iPhones currently are not compatible although the new iPad is....

Compare it to your dsl or broadband - i know it will smoke DSL and be faster than most broadband, my roadrunner highspeed with boost is comparable to download speeds (a tad slower sub 20mbs typically) but the upload barely touches 2mbs- Click here to test Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

For me i use it all the time as a hotspot, with my laptop, ipad and especially for keeping the kiddos entertained in the car ie for netflix etc

Am hoping in the next 18 months this becomes the standard for mobile devices data transfer, and also that bandwidth limits are raised... mix that with constantly improving technology in regards to the devices - mobile will truly explode!

Sorry, I am too busy helping people to think of a cool signature!

That can't be very productive...

usually when i am on my own laptop or on the ipad ill choose to connect to my phones hotspot it seems a lot more stable than our wireless router....

I agree with 4G technology, mobile marketing will rise sharply. Will it boost today's entrepreneurs? I think mobile app developers should also focus on developing user-friendly mobile applications such as event software, cart software and so on to help develop mobile sites effectively.

In the past I have downloaded new versions of Ubuntu Linux (typically 685 MB) via my home DSL connection and the download usually took between 45 minutes and an hour. Today I downloaded Ubuntu 11.10 (695.3 MB) via my carrier's 4G mobile hotspot and the download took 24 minutes. Mobile phones continue to impress me.
