Talk about a micro niche..... only Guinness beer drinkers who partake of the "black murky" brew can view it! What's next, only left handed drinkers with 1 glass eye, and a mustache?..... Just kidding Hey, at least it's getting the benefits of qr codes out there. On a side note, I was in a restaurant having breakfast yesterday and there was a table tent calling to join their V.I.P. program. I looked it over and saw no way to access wherever they wanted me to go. That's when my wife pulled the card up a little bit from the plastic stand. The website url was at the very bottom (hidden within the plastic) and was only viewed when the card was raised up a little!! Then, when I entered the (LONG) url, it, of course, went to a non mobile optimized landing page. So many people to educate........ so little time!! |

Speaking of different QR Codes, could you make a QR code out of this?: If It's Hip, It's Here: DDB Auckland Makes An Impression Selling Shorts For Superette Co-promotion with Guinness? |

That QR is pretty neat. I recommend reading down the page of comments. Pretty interesting. It really shows what the general public thinks about QR. Not just us marketers and our "great ideas". Their comments prove we need to continue to be creative when using them or people get bored with them quite quickly. But it really only takes one scan of a really engaging QR code to get them to both with scanning more. |
