Before We Go Out And Sell 1000 Mobile Sites, I have A Couple Questions
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Ok,,

I've been doing research, and buying mobile packages, going through everything,, reading everything on here and really trying to grasp what I'm about to get myself into.

I just have one or two questions,, and maybe a few others might benifit from my asking before anyone gets in over their heads.

Now, I know all these products and hype and all the whoopla about Mobile Web Site Design and sales and all this stuff is being promoted,,, but,, you can't just run out and start selling without some sort of set up first.

So,, where is the very first place to start? (Pre Sales)

1. A website/domain name?
2. Bank Account with biz name? (Gotta put those checks somewhere)
3. A phone number?
etc.

Basically, I would like to know how "exactly" you successful Mobile Site sellers get set up BEFORE you dive in head first with sales. Yes,, I know you can do it shoe string and get sales and have checks made out to you personally but,, what would be the "best" or "better" way to do it?

It would be great if someone (Warrior WillR) would get down and dirty on the "how to" get started with "getting started"!!! I think a lot of newer newbs (myself included) in this niche might need to know some of the very beginning basics of what you should have set up and ready to go to take in all those sales.(and checks$$$) And,, maybe even some suggestions of how to RUN things once orders start pouring in. (Like rain from the sky)

I think what I'm asking is how do you fellers and ladies run you business.

I hope the input can help people learn a few things as to what to do before you dive in head first and crack your head on the bottom.

Help us make the "smoothest" start and transition into all of us becoming,,,,,,,

MOBILE EMPIRE GIANTS!!!!!!!

Thank you,
Robert X

I'd suggest starting with the very basic step of deciding
on what type of entity you want your business to operate
under. If you're in the U.S. the choices are Sole Proprietor,
Corporation, Sub Chapter S Corporation, LLC, LLLP, or partnership.

Consult your lawyer and accountant for which type of
entity best suits your current status and future goals. Do
not take advice on this subject from ANYONE on an internet
forum.

Also, decide where you want to operate. Will this be a work
from home venture or will you require some kind of office space?
A dedicated phone number would be a good thing but not necessarily
a requirement. Truth is, I just use my cell phone number. It suits
my type of business.

Next, yes... a separate bank account is a must. Not only for keeping
track of how much you earn from your business but for tax purposes.
Again, if you're in the U.S. it will be a very important factor if you are
ever audited by the IRS. Real businesses don't co-mingle business
funds with personal funds.

If you're in the U.S.... and you do business as a sole proprietor... be
sure to register the business name as a DBA with the county recorder
in the county where you live. Actually, this would apply to any kind of
entity doing business with the public under a name other than the registered
business name.

If you have a partner be sure to have ALL of your agreements reduced to
writing in a legal partnership agreement (again... contact a lawyer) including
exactly how things will be divided up in the event you choose to dissolve
the partnership at a future date... best to avoid future arguments while everyone
is in a mood to agree on everything!

Off the top of my head that should cover the basics. If I think of something
else I'll return or, perhaps, others will have something to add.

Best of luck!

P.S. Did I mention how foolish it would be to give in to the temptation
to seek legal advice on an internet forum? OK... carry on.

If you knew what I know you'd be doing what I do...

If you live in the U.S. it's the law in every state. The public has the
right to have access to information about who they're doing business
with.

If you knew what I know you'd be doing what I do...
